Collected these over the last month or so.

DSD - this was bought as a completely destroyed card with the original bubble. I have replaced the whole bubble section (obviously) and also printed the entire lower section of the 4-LOM offer on the back. The card was still there but the print torn off. Getting the scale right from a template is fairly easy, but matching the colour to graft pieces on is nigh on impossible. I don't mind though. It looks nicer than the picture makes out. Ok for a first effort. One thing i'll do differently next time is to double sided tape the bubble on. Gluing a bubble onto a printed cardback makes the ink run. Any tips PM me :wink:

Greedo - pop is missing but the rest is original. Love this as it's one of my grail pieces :D

Rebel Commander - Palitoy reseal. Haven't done anything other than stick the bubble back

Tusken Raider - pop has been seperated from the cardback leaving no hole on the front. Gaffi stick is missing. Got this for a steal so well pleased with it.

Last up - Bespin Han. Bought on here as a beater/reseal. It's beat up but I still really like this one.

Wow guys, the CE2 artwork seems to have been fairly popular;
Mumbo, Jammy,Maulster,Timbo, Martin,Chris-caswelbot,kuwahero,,Benny100,Rob71,Dublinjeff,Micheal Sith,Skywalker, Pomse2001,X-Pack,The Slider, DB94 & PGowdy all commenting :) A few have asked me where they are from, by who, is it McQuarrie? No, the artist is Malcolm Tween, he was at CE2 and signed them both. Both are limited editions, the ROTJ one was number 83 of 250 which i thought was cool seeing as Jedi was released in 1983. He had sold out of the limited run of the Hoth one, but i managed to convince him to sell me an AP (Artist Proof). Apparently he will soon be working on an Eps IV one. One is on Ebay, a few have sold

Thanks very much, i was chuffed. It was the lucky day. Spoke with and got Luke Skywalkers autograph, grabbed a limited edition Star Wars Rebels T-Shirt and a kind helper at the CE2 store allowed me to queue jump by joining the VIP queue, got some extra free Squid head autographs for my son, watched Kathleen Kennedy do her thing, found 5 euros on the floor and shared a beer with Boba Fett Jnr. I don't know what happened that day :lol:

Been awhile since I last picked up a loose figure. Last week was the first Comic Con in the area, so I of course went. I was surprised that a couple of the dealers actually had some vintage. I found this nice loose small head Han for $15 with original gun. It's a variation I just never got around to picking up until now.

Cheers guys

I have around 25 - 30 cardbacks now. Running out of room to display them

I keep looking at the photo of the DSD and the ink run pisses me off. The photo doesn't do it justice though. I try to repair them in a way that can be undone just in case it goes wrong.

Yet more great pick ups- Andy, Cereal, Shawn, Adam... amazing stuff.

I've just received these two pieces of artwork from Lorraine (Frunkstar's better half :D ). Within a couple of hours of me sending over some ideas for a commission, Frank informed me that his good lady was already working on them... and here is the result:

BlueOrangeHarvest2_zpsbd96dce0.jpg

I'm absolutely delighted with them! These will go in my display cupboard as part of my growing collection. Why these two logos? My Star Wars collecting is rather narrow, from 1977 to 1982. Anything after that I have very little nostalgic appetite for personally, so 'Blue Harvest' is my acknowledgement of Return Of The Jedi despite not owning any figures from this era, and Orange Harvest is a nod towards Episode VII and (hopefully) the good film that will follow.

Thanks again to Lorraine for doing a sterling job with her Pyro Art, it's a fascinating technique with a superb end result :D
