No unfortunately :!: The hardback edition isn't easy to find and have seen it for as much as $250 in US Amazon  However a few years ago a US book shop had a load of mint stock of these hardbacks and were knocking them out for $15 each on ebay so I snapped one up-think I paid $20 postage  Should have bought a few really :!: But yeh it is a diff class in hardback esp with the 40 extra pages of unproduced 8) Got pictures of things like the 1980 Toy Show with the 12in Dolls including Lando etc.
Real nice book 8)

Had to post this pic, (some relevance to the post), as I had posted it on latest aqu to say thanks to Colin, for sending me an x-wing gun to complete it. It was a custom copy I did many years ago when the ships were dirt cheap in the late 80's, as mentioned before I'm a reformed character  now and would never cut up vintage ships. Things we did when we were younger and back then for fun. Remember seeing it in some early sw mag in the late 80's and fancied doing a copy. X-wings still work , Luckily my old stuff survived in my mums loft to see the light of day again :D

Here's another custom built 'unproduced toy'. Kenner made a small scale diecast version, but here's a try at the full-size TIE Bomber. This one, along with much more lovely vintage, is going to be on display at The Atkinson in Southport from Nov 19th - do go and visit if you're in the locality!

Good stuff Matt!

Is that part of a Probot I see on the right?!

Yes! I'm impressed, you and Daz Macaleese also spotted that. I got the torso part loose in a job lot and it turned out to be perfect.

brilliant it looks really authentic - for your next one flip the spare body so the roof panels become the bomb bay :)

Thanks! Actually I think its cool being able to take two Imp Pilots, but Kenner definitely wouldn't have missed the opportunity to have a working bomb bay. For this one I removed the electronics from the battery compartment and designed a couple of proton bombs that could be 'dropped' on an unsuspecting asteroid.

Some of the unproduced stuff is crackers and can see why they were binned off , Heres a playlist of interesting prototype bits that i thought would be fitting to put here for those whom may not have seen them .

Nice. I seen a guy do one similar years ago, he gave it a lighter blue paint job similar to the battle damaged tie. Love the use of the probot there. 8)

Why did you have to show me that tie bomber , I have two trashed dv tie fighters body's think I feel the pull of custom building again :D that's really good, can we see the other angles, don't have a vintage probot to hand will have to put my thinking cap on :)
