Re: Celebration 2007

I was only 25 in 2007 so not far off 12  it was a really good event, I enjoyed it more than the last one.

Re: Boba Fett carded pricing

Ah yes sorry I didn't see the hole at the bottom! You're right, definitely sub £200 with such a big hole.

Re: Seems a bit suspicious don’t you think ?

I would say this is genuine. However light the bubble impression is, it is there. And I've seen trilogos with very weak seals before, I've got a Tusken Raider with a very cleanly detached top half of the bubble. I also used to own a trilogo Luke X-Wing that the bubble just fell off, so it does happen.

Re: Boba Fett carded pricing

Welcome to the forum. The trilogo Fett could be worth about £3000, possibly more or less depending on condition. The light blue Fett is actually much more common on the trilogo cards, the dark blue Fett is more valuable on these. Still a really nice piece though, let me know if you are looking to se...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Three new arrivals for me this week - big thanks to Andy Clarke for the heads up on the Han with trilogo bubble, and to Jez for the patches all the way from Afghanistan which will be given away at a future event! And then finally meet Jasper, who was born on Monday :) 040E9707-4E7C-4312-8905-DAD0F22...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Just picked up this cool 2 pack for my Luke X-Wing focus. As is often the case with these the condition isn’t great, but it’s quite unusual to find one with an accessory in the bubble.

Re: R2d2 loose pop up price

That's not unique to R2, the majority of the last 17 are almost as expensive loose as they are carded.

Yeah as Nick says I think prices have come down a bit, across the board on most loose stuff.

Re: Price rises over ten years

I can imagine Star Wars collecting was much more fun back then. Not only price wise but also in attitude. Not as many bellends, people showing off and wasting massive sums of money on overpriced items. Also so much less bickering and moaning? Wonder what it’ll be like in 10 years time? It was certa...

I don't think I've ever seen that POTF A-Wing proof sheet before, what an amazing piece that is. Probably the coolest bit of 2D pre-prod I've seen.

You just need to make a few posts before you can send PMs.

Re: Removing 'New figure' sticker help

As it's "just" a cardback you could try using a hair dryer to heat the glue, that has worked well for me on video game console boxes. I have never tried it on a MOC before because it's too risky near the bubble, they melt. But as lejackal says many people like those stickers so you could e...

Re: Buying in the 80's how we used to buy figures

Or like going to see Empire with the same godparents a couple of years later and being really annoyed that the audience cheered when an AT-AT was brought down on Hoth, instead of watching the film in respectful silence, like considerate people do ;-) I never saw that happen in British cinemas until...
