Re: The day is coming....repro MOC

It would be interesting to see a comparison of the print under a microscope. Although the new repro cards might look good at first glance, you cannot replicate the effect of litho printing with a digital print. I'm sure under close inspection it will be possible to tell the difference.

Re: Full MOC run

I must admit I'm starting to think do I really need them all. I had a full set about 10 years ago, and I'm currently one away again (just need a fixed limbs 3PO.) But MOCs take up so much space I'm starting to think about thinning out. I'm never going to complete the trilogo run as I won't pay 10 gr...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 49 LAUNCHED

My only criticism is that the gim crack and now worst product section are quite obscure and I could really do with seeing photos of the things up front, rather than drip fed onto instagram and Facebook. How about some key pics with the new podcast announcement posts? You could add a 'listen in for ...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 49 LAUNCHED

Just finished it, another really good show. I enjoyed Lee's 12 inch discussion as it's a line I know nothing about, reminded me that I need to keep an eye out for a 12" Ledy R2. Am also keen to go and check out Toy Planet after Si's visit.

Re: Where do you listen to The Vintage Rebellion?

I am terrible at multi tasking, if I try and listen to it while I'm working or on a walk etc I just zone out and miss half of it. So I listen to it on the train to work so there are no distractions (apart from sleep  )

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Just picked up this Canadian Luke X-Wing for my focus. Big thanks to Jez for this one, he not only found it for me in an obscure Facebook group, but also passed on it for his own focus to let me have it. Very much appreciated mate.

Re: Gentle giant retro - what’s the vintage collector view?

I think they are cool, but I don't understand why they are so expensive. They should cost about £15-20 each brand new, similar in price to the 12" figures. Also I have looked at a few up close and haven't loved the sculpts.

Next Vectis Sale 10th July 2018

Not the most impressive sale ever, but still some nice bits. Especially good to see some MISB vehicles, will be trying for a few of those.

Re: POSITIVE ONLY - Movie/scene list

For me the Luke & Vader lightsabre fight in ESB is just perfection, a great example of "less is more." There's far more suspense than there is action, but the well timed dialogue and occasional duelling makes for a compelling and believable fight. I have no doubt this scene is where th...

Re: And This Is Why I Hate Toxic "Fan" Boys and Their Bitching!

Just to add although I thought TLJ was pretty naff I did enjoy Solo, so am not against new films. But the new films are never going to be classics if they churn them out as quickly as the Marvel films. I prefer quality over quantity.

Re: And This Is Why I Hate Toxic "Fan" Boys and Their Bitching!

Personally I think it's a good thing, they need to slow down to avoid saturating the franchise. Star Wars fans are used to having 3 films 3 years apart with 20 odd year gaps between each three. The current film every year schedule is burning the franchise out. Lots of people have noticed that nobody...
