Re: And This Is Why I Hate Toxic "Fan" Boys and Their Bitching!

Just to add although I thought TLJ was pretty naff I did enjoy Solo, so am not against new films. But the new films are never going to be classics if they churn them out as quickly as the Marvel films. I prefer quality over quantity.

Re: And This Is Why I Hate Toxic "Fan" Boys and Their Bitching!

Personally I think it's a good thing, they need to slow down to avoid saturating the franchise. Star Wars fans are used to having 3 films 3 years apart with 20 odd year gaps between each three. The current film every year schedule is burning the franchise out. Lots of people have noticed that nobody...

Re: The Trilogo 70C cardback

It's a good question. In my experience almost all trilogo cards (including but not limited to 70C) are printed with Made In Hong Kong. Han Solo always says Made In China for some reason. And of course sometimes you see the Made In Macau stickered cards too. But according to variant collectors by the...

Re: Toy Toni selling his unused MOC stock

I remember once when I bought a blaster from him last year on ebay, not long after that I messaged to ask what his price would be if I bought 5 different blasters at once that he had up for sale.... got no reply! Yep he never budges on price at all, I've spent four figure sums with him before...

Re: ESB Palitoy / PBP Bossk Figure

Not true, for example many trilogo MOC Biker Scouts & ATST drivers are Taiwan figures on 'HK' cards, tri Jawa card says Taiwan not a Taiwan figure, Droids Fett is either Hong Kong or Taiwan Fett- always a Taiwan card. Palitoy imported ALL their figures not sure why you would think some (many) d...

Re: ESB Palitoy / PBP Bossk Figure

I'm no legal expert but I'm pretty sure even back then they would not have got away with printing one COO on the card and having a figure with a different COO packaged on to it. As you say could well be a different HK factory, we know there were a couple. But that doesn't make it a Spanish figure.

Re: ESB Palitoy / PBP Bossk Figure

Yes this is my problem with these theories. Found in Spanish collections does not mean they were made there or specifically for that market. Meccano Jawas on square cards were widely sold in the UK, that doesn't make them British, it was simply French overstock.

Re: Toy Toni selling his unused MOC stock

I've just noticed that Toni's website has now gone:

http://www.toytoni.com

He has also taken most of the Star Wars stock out of his Snoopers Paradise stall. Still selling a few small bits on eBay, but maybe he's finally winding down? Who's up for a group buy? :)

Re: ESB Palitoy / PBP Bossk Figure

Exactly as above, lots of "maybes" and "possiblies", it's all just theories and speculation. The figure most people call the PBP Luke Bespin is the one Toy Toni had hundreds of and was attaching to his Palitoy cards. He was also selling them loose until very recently. We all know...

Re: ESB Palitoy / PBP Bossk Figure

You'll get different opinions but IMO calling these (and other) figures PBP is bollocks. Similarly the "PBP" Han Hoth usually turns up on English Palitoy cards. It's just nonsense variant collectors have made up.

Re: The Trilogo 70C cardback

It's open to debate but my cardback came from France, and I think Stephane's one did too. I was wrong about Franck's so have corrected it above.

Re: The Trilogo 70C cardback

Thanks, yes it's just a theory but I have heard from first-time collectors that sometimes the hard to find figures were not the obvious ones. Believe it or not I have heard somebody tell me Klaatu was hard to find when first released. My theory is that Palitoy assumed everybody would want the major ...

The Trilogo 70C cardback

As you may have seen I have recently been working on a full set of 70B and 70C trilogo cards, so thought I would write up some of my findings on the subject. If you have no idea what I'm talking about and think there is only one type of trilogo card, the difference is that the 70C has a longer 'race...

Re: A huge thank you!

Glad everyone could be of help, it's always nice to see somebody surprised by the value of something they've had sitting in a cupboard for years :)
