Re: Price rises over ten years

Some funny prices there. I am one of those saddos who has always kept track of my buying and selling, check out the purchase and sale prices of this 12 back set I put together back in 2011 and then sold shortly after (doh!) Just over a grand for a full set! It's also funny that I lost money on both ...

Re: WTB: Palitoy Jedi MOCs with Trilogo Bubbles

Finally got around to taking an updated group photo. I also have Dengar, but he's buried in a cupboard somewhere. I have 31 so far and there are just 10 that I'm still looking for, so if you can help with any more I need or ones that exist but aren't on my list, please let me know :) palitoy-trilogo...

Re: The future of Vintage Star Wars collecting

I think you may be right long term, but I don't think it will happen any time soon as the majority of Star Wars collectors are in their 40s. There are some like me still just about in their 30s, and of course some in their 50s or 60s, but the majority should have several decades left. Also the more ...

The Hoth one? That would be great, haven't seen that before.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

This one isn’t very pretty, but I’m really pleased to get it. Another one for the Palitoy card/trilogo bubble run. Thanks to the people who sent me links to it on eBay :)

Re: WTB: Palitoy Jedi MOCs with Trilogo Bubbles

Another one added to the collection, Bossk! There are only 9 left I'm looking for now so any help on either leads for those or new additions I haven't spotted yet would be appreciated.

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 56 LAUNCHED

Finally got around to listening. Enjoyed the discussion about bubbles breaking in transit, seems like most people are on the same page with this. If you want a masterclass on how not to handle this situation as a seller, check out this thread.

Re: New retroline.......

I believe the reason this and so many other modern cardbacks are so boring is legislation, apparently they're no longer allowed to show dozens of figures on the back like the old ones as it's considered advertising to children. It also has to have all the safety stuff on there these days too. "...

Re: New retroline.......

What I do agree is bizarre is the 'battle damaged' packaging. Do they not know vintage collectors want everything in AFA 95 condition? 8)

Re: New retroline.......

I really enjoy retroblasters, he’s a funny and thoughtful guy, but I can’t help but feel he is a tad premature in getting on high horse over this. The tarkin / Death Star game looks like its going to cost about 16 quid (which is a Hasbro cash grab), yet he’s fine with unofficial custom / sand rebel...

Re: New retroline.......

One common complaint I've seen about these is collectors saying Hasbro are "cashing in". I think that's a bit rich coming from people who are selling toys that originally cost £1.59 for hundreds or thousands of pounds on the secondary market, of which Kenner/Hasbro sees nothing. They own t...

Re: Forum Figure of the Year 2019 - THE FINAL

I'm really pleased to see Luke Bespin in the final, I had a focus on him for a few years and I've always liked both the figure and cardbacks. Plus Luke in the Bespin scenes is possibly the best part of the film trilogy.
