Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

A lot has gone via fb groups as not even a hint of interest here. Yes I'm afraid that although visitor numbers and activity on the forum hasn't been too badly affected by FB, the sales forum definitely has. I think it is just the ease of posting stuff on Facebook that is attractive, especially how ...

How does collecting compare to a year ago?

About a year ago I unfollowed all of the Facebook Star Wars groups because they were simply taking over my entire Facebook feed and I was spending hours every day trawling through irrelevant posts to find the occasional thing of interest. This was annoying for me hence unfollowing the groups, howeve...

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

Also you’d never hand over vast amounts of money to someone you didn’t know without having the product you’re paying for in hand, but nowadays we don’t bat an eyelid at sending friends and family to a complete stranger with no protection if something goes south  A lot of people do, and somet...

That's very cool, I remember some of my friends kept their collection in those large ice cream tubs. I think mine all just went in a cardboard box!

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

I feel one of the issues for me here is the ease in which I can purchase something. Money gets paid into my account and I can instantly hand over that money for something at the touch of a button, and it is likely that item can be in my collection in two days. Yes that's a good point, it often does...

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

Thanks guys, some good answers. Don’t worry I’m not buying things I can’t afford. However I think what has brought this feeling on is that over the last couple of months a few pieces have popped up for sale that would really fit well in my collection, and a year ago I would have just bought them, bu...

Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

I'm interested to find out if anybody else has found that price increases over the last few years (OK maybe a bit longer than that now) have impacted the way they value cash? I am starting to feel like it has happened to me a bit. It seems ridiculous that I feel hard done by paying a couple of hundr...

Nice items. I have merged your posts in to one thread, you can post as many photos as you like in one thread, the limit of 10 is only for each individual post.

Which figure do you mean? Repros are generally frowned upon here but depends which item it's for I guess.

Were you a "one toy line" kid?

Another thread got me thinking, were you 100% obsessed with Star Wars (or any other toy line) or did you have lots of different toys? And which ones passed you by? Although Star Wars certainly stands out as my favourite toys back then, I had toys from quite a few other lines too: MASK Centurions Gal...
