Re: First ever toys as a collector?

I can't remember what the first loose figure I bought was, but I'm pretty sure the first MOC I bought was a Jedi Logray in 1994. From memory it cost me £12.

Only Hammerhead and Cloud Car Pilot are particularly rare IMO, the rest turn up fairly often (or at least used to) and are not crazy expensive.

Still need a hybrid CCP too mate. I did say I'm not bothering with the hybrids this time, but as I have the other five now I might as well :D

Re: Palitoy MOC hybrid Greedo

£250-300 eh Edd :!:  Nah just kidding. Don't worry I was expecting to get picked up on that  I still stand by £250-300 being a sensible price for one of these, I'm sure a slightly rougher one could be had for that. I would say this one is above average so worth a slight premium. And price...

Is the back a ESB type?
Thanks

The back is a trilogo 70 back, there are six hybrids:

Re: Palitoy MOC hybrid Greedo

Here he is. I'm pretty happy with him considering how bad the auction photos were (I was worried they were deliberately blurry to hide creases etc) the bubble is flat on the face but has a couple of tiny dents on the sides, and the pin hole is sadly through the card rather than the punch so it defin...

Re: Palitoy MOC hybrid Greedo

Sorry guys it was me! I had spotted it before this thread went up and was one of several people trying to organise a buy it now deal, but due to the amount of interest he let the auction run. I was hoping to get it for around the £300 mark, but as it appears to have a perfect bubble I was willing to...

Re: Luke Jedi Variants

I saw some guy on Facebook showing off his newly bought 'pale face' Luke Jedi today  no doubt that 'variant' came with a nice premium attached

To be honest you would be better off asking in the Meccano group on Facebook, I don't think there are too many Meccano experts on here

Re: Craig Stevens Packing

Although I absolutely agree that a better box should have been used (or for such an expensive item even a plastic box) it looks to me like somebody has kicked a hole in the box. If somebody really wants to destroy something, there's not much you can do to stop them. I've had poorly packaged items ar...

Re: Deleting threads

I have split the thread in to two topics: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34452 http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34491 I agree deleting posts just makes it look like censorship or favouritism, so this way both Craig and others can comment on either thread...

I am also against deleting threads in general unless they are hateful etc, so I will probably just leave it locked and then Craig can start a new book thread later.

Re: Palitoy MOC hybrid Greedo

Not the one on eBay by any chance ;) IMO he's the third most common hybrid after Black Bespin Guard and Snaggletooth, but prices have gone mad recently. Some fool on Facebook paid £800 for a graded one from eBay a couple of weeks ago. £250-300 would be a much more sensible price for one of these IMO...
