Re: The LEGO Corner

Dived into Leicester sq and grabbed an Lester figure. Loving these are now mass produced and 5.99 although those folks flogging their raffle won figures from the store opening for 1000's probably less so. Got the last of the four POD's the other day, great fun things, hope more come out next year, l...

Re: The LEGO Corner

I think Lego designers talk about it being the best approximation of scale they can do. So while it may not be perfect it is the best minifig scale version of the falcon (it is also the same size as the last UCS Falcon). The side on shot isn't the best to see, but if you get to see the model with th...

Re: The LEGO Corner

Yeah, the only predictable thing about this launch was that the Lego website would crash and collapse under demand, as it has with every major release in the last decade. There has been a fairly scathing backlash from the 'AFOL community' around this launch. Ignoring the fact that Lego didn't limit ...

Re: Modern for sale thread

Next item is an odd one

It is a sealed 2005, Japanese Exclusive Star Wars REMOTE CONTROL R2-D2 w/ Mini Lightsaber Controller.

No idea where I got this (or why). Can't find too much on it, but where it does pop up asking prices seem to be close to 50.

I am open to offers as always.

Re: Modern for sale thread

Hi
Trying to get rid of a few bits so could be a few posts coming up.
First up a lot of three Jedi fighters. All sealed in boxes. Not looking for much figured anything between 40-50 for the lot + shipping (or meeting up if London based and can be arranged).
PM if interested.

Re: The LEGO Corner

Yeah, I am only reading Brickset, but there is a growing realisation that the early bird got the worm and the sales have been through the roof. Lego could have sold 300 last night, maybe 400, but i guess they wanted to keep it tight and had to draw a line somewhere. The thing was the queue didn't re...

Re: The LEGO Corner

It will get built, just not sure when :)

It was a fun night, especially given most of it was spent queueing. Quite busy in the end and I don't think I have ever seen 100ks worth of Lego stacked in shipping boxes before...

Re: The LEGO Corner

Got a sinking feeling. Over on the Lego boards people are talking about camping out, booking hotel rooms etc. Lego may have gotten this wrong and hundreds of people turn up tomorrow, could be some disappointed people...

Re: The LEGO Corner

No images, but the countdown has begun... 48hrs give or take until the midnight release of the new falcon. Planning on being at Leicester sq store for a special signing event... That said only 150 units will be in store (aledgedly) so if the queues are too big when I get there i will have to turn ar...

Re: The LEGO Corner

Not sure when I will find the time to build this for a while, but a great updated UCS, vastly better than the first (obviously). Actually, while others may complain about rereleases and updates, the red five X-wing, the Snowspeeder, and the upcoming falcon have all been significantly better than the...
