Re: Latest Modern Acquisitions

That Famba rocks. I remember back in the day I asked a friend who live in NY to grab one from FAO and bring it over for me when he next came to London. I had no idea of size so was quite surprised when he walked into my office one day in a very grumpy mood having had to lug the massive thing all the...

Re: new 40th anniversary figures from hasbro

There are a bunch of photos up on sirstevesguide.com seems to be a few, Luke, Jawa etc. They do look nice and if it is just a fixed set of 12 or something I might be tempted, but I wouldn't want to get drawn into a new never ending line etc. But to be fair these don't look any different that the fir...

Re: Modern wanted thread

Not so much a wanted as 'don't want', because I have... Found an eBay BIN for all 9 POTF2 EU figures (as searching for in the post above) and the speeder bike for £90 all in so pulled the trigger, only downside is I had to have them shipped to a friend in the US so won't have them in my grubby mits ...

Re: Modern wanted thread

Ok, been umming and raring over this but if a full set of 9 EU POTF2 figures came up I'd be interested. Can't bring myself to pay stupid eBay money, but likewise can't face hunting them down one at a time which would cost me 30-40 in shipping alone. So if there is a full set out there, drop me a PM....

Re: The LEGO Corner

I loved some of those mini sets. The two Jabbas Palace sets where from 2003 and specifically designed to clip into either side of the larger #4480 Jabbas Palaces set. If you have the 'wings' you have to get the main set. I remember running all over London to get these, finally finding them in Harrod...

Re: The LEGO Corner

Thanks, worth looking throu all the entries, here are some great looking models, many would make it as formal models which is a bit of a sad indictment on Lego. I get that they have limits etc. But some of the scenes/vehicles offered up here really should get a run in production. The winning Tie Bom...

Re: The LEGO Corner

OK, more of a brag than a Lego post but my entry in the Brickset 'Whats missing' SW Lego build completion actually won 3rd place, pretty chuffed about that, there were a lot of good entires.

Re: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

Twice in three films maybe, but the other way to look at it is twice in twelve years, not so bad there.

Re: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

It's a well used title, several books have already used it over the years (or very close to it). I like it, gives the film a sense of urgency or importance. Now for a long 12 month wait :)

Re: Original Negatives lost when creating SE

I'm not sure. The wave of nastulga that drives this is all well and good, but ultimately wouldn't it be best to leave it where it belongs, locked safely away in the romantic corner of our now aging brains. The special editions are now the accepted version and while I would love to see Han shoot firs...

Re: The LEGO Corner

Just have to say, if you can grab the Ewok village. It is a fantastic model, unlike many Lego 'play sets' it is fully formed, great features and figures, it is spectacular. I'm lips my to have the bunker play set from back in 2012 I think it was and some of the smaller sets so I have all of them on ...
