Re: Vintage SW is still affordable - £50 or less MOCs latest acquisitions

Cant beat Jabba's goons for value. Popped up to Vectis this week to pick these guys up; Two for £40 and the 8D8 for £45 plus Vectis fees (makes 8D8 a about £55 in reality). It really does show how overpriced Facebook is https://i.postimg.cc/7Lyb9mwP/65_Klaatu_Palitoy_(1).jpg https://i.postimg.cc/x87...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Ouch - but great repair job Steve! Loads of variety these last few pages and really impressed with Poncho's Leia custom. Something very different and very vintage looking Here is one of my recent Vectis buys (the others are in the £50 or less thread  ) Been after one of these for a while as...

Re: I didnt know this...

The Han Hoth holster is a good feature but DON’T USE IT!

The plastic is a lot more brittle these days than in the 1980s, and a few of my holsters split from having the gun stored there.

I display with gun in hand now

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

One that always gets to me is that I can spend $100s of dollars for an item online with no issues (via eBay, FaceBook, etc.) but when at an actual toy show, with physical cash in hand (and with the actual item in hand as well), it ALWAYS is much more difficult to justify purchasing said item. Total...

Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

Like the rest of you I dont remember any boxes surviving after being opened. Totally different today, the boxes for all my kids toys are in the loft - probably a massive fire risk :?

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

Good question Edd and good answers all. I’ve said it a few times that I do find the money spent on vintage obscene. We are for the most part in jobs with regular incomes and it’s too easy to spend £100s or more on toys, and I’m sure there have been a few past collectors that have got into big debt t...

Re: Show of your truly rare items

My rarest item is probably this transparency for the Han Hoth image on the back of the 41 cards, with 76% sizing information for the printers. Cost a lot more than that beautiful ATST transparency - that was an amazing steal! Yeah, but this one is even cooler as it's a colour transparency. Great it...
