Re: Destruction of ships/vehicles is getting too much.

A 100% complete toy is the 'final state' that all collectors are aiming for. I spent a good amount of my collecting time buying up 'job lots'. Childhood collections, filled with many items that some might call junk. You know the sort; random pieces of a speeder bike, maybe the leg of a CAP-2, odds a...

Re: Vectis 25th September

Thanks for the extra info on the 'vintage' Vader bust.... think i'll be giving that one a miss!

R5 Revenge proof card there for Rich and the other R5 focus collectors to battle over.

Re: Vectis 25th September

Looks like a good selection of items... I have to confess I haven't seen this Vader helmet store display before - is this correctly described as vintage? Any one know this item? https://www.vectis.co.uk/star-wars-larg ... age_num=18

Re: Grading ridiculous items

Grading a shipping box seems awfully uneconomical - for the cost of the heavy, unpractical acrylic case you could buy a decent museum style cabinet to keep the box in (and lots more space for other objects besides). It's not going to be any better protected inside an acrylic box than it would be ins...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 51 LAUNCHED

Great episode boys - and thanks v.much for the mention of May The Toys Be With You, that was unexpected and really pleased to hear that Pete enjoyed his little visit to Leicester. I have a mental image of him doing his tour guide commentary with a gaggle of tourists hanging on his every word! You've...

Ha! Leicester City winning the Premier League is insignificant next to the power of the force!

Re: Palitoy landfill

I'm just watching it too "The Secret Life Of Landfill" on BBC4 (I suspect it will also be on iPlayer). They have dug up an 80s landfill from 1986 - pretty much the exact same year we are talking about with the Palitoy pit. Hardly any of the rubbish has degraded at all, because it hasnt bee...

Re: What a F****** C***!!!

I own the European version of the Endor Forest Ranger - I knew the Kenner one came in a smaller box but hadn't twigged that it came disassembled in two pieces. I didn't realise the toy came apart like that. Also the guy bemoaned the lack of instructions. Pretty sure that if the guy had pulled out th...

Wow! Honestly one of the most in-depth, deeply researched, and clearly time consuming posts that I've ever seen on this forum or anywhere else in relation to the vintage hobby. Bravo Laurence for putting this incredible info together and for sharing it with the community. This really goes to prove i...

Re: And This Is Why I Hate Toxic "Fan" Boys and Their Bitching!

Sad to hear this news if it is true as I have MASSIVELY enjoyed both Star Wars stories and will be gutted if they do cancel future spin off entries. Let's wait to hear more official news though, rather than rumour. Why they didn't put a Kevin Feige type person in charge to oversee their new films an...

Solo - Matt Fox Review - Mild Spoilers

Solo (2018) – Review by Matt Fox Mild spoilers – would recommend seeing the film before reading. Arriving just 5 months after The Last Jedi, Star Wars fans have never had such a short wait between movies, and fittingly Solo isn’t a film that needs or demands a lot of fanfare. A Guardians Of The Gala...

Nice Gunner score - love that figure. Is it one from the recent auction where several were sold on the same day?
