Re: And This Is Why I Hate Toxic "Fan" Boys and Their Bitching!

Sad to hear this news if it is true as I have MASSIVELY enjoyed both Star Wars stories and will be gutted if they do cancel future spin off entries. Let's wait to hear more official news though, rather than rumour. Why they didn't put a Kevin Feige type person in charge to oversee their new films an...

Solo - Matt Fox Review - Mild Spoilers

Solo (2018) – Review by Matt Fox Mild spoilers – would recommend seeing the film before reading. Arriving just 5 months after The Last Jedi, Star Wars fans have never had such a short wait between movies, and fittingly Solo isn’t a film that needs or demands a lot of fanfare. A Guardians Of The Gala...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Nice Gunner score - love that figure. Is it one from the recent auction where several were sold on the same day?

Re: Card back Storage

I framed the first 12 which looked really nice. If you have lots then maybe buy a couple of those chunky acrylic picture frames that hold together with magnets. You could display a couple at a time and then swap them round every now and them? But if the question really is just about storage, then a ...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 45 LAUNCHED

Edd, yes for sure. Here is a humble guy that is selling other pieces, using birthdays, going without, to put together enough to add a couple of precious $300-$400 12 backs to his collection each year. Then today I heard some one blew $30,000 on a single Leia AFA95 MOC at Hakes Auction. I know which ...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 45 LAUNCHED

Very good episode - thank you guys! One small segment I particularly liked was the guy who talked through his story of setting a six year goal to collect the run of 12 Backs. He spoke with such integrity and conviction about trying to achieve this relatively humble goal, it was quite inspirational a...

Re: Cast lead vintage weapons

Funnily enough I was just going through a bunch of figures that I'd bought in a junky job lot a while back, and they look very much untouched since the olden days... but it does include a single lead Imperial Blaster. I get the feeling that these lead weapons preceded the plastic repro time wise. Th...

Re: Very first vintage figures ever produced

If you have Netflix, there is a good documentary called 'The Toys That Made Us' and that includes interviews with some of the Kenner personnel who created the very first figures.

Perhaps the best anecdote is that the original Jawa that they mocked up was one of the designers brown socks!

Re: Is Star Wars only for the rich ?

Last month a solo poch carback sold for £745, fucking crazy I do not know how many money people have to buy for. But I think many collectors maybe have between £50 and £200 every month. So with some prices today it would take more than 50 years to complete a full run of some foreign items, I think ...

Nice interview with Ron Howard about Solo, apparently his old mentor Lucas spent a day on set and gave some direction!

Re: 3 more movies announced from GoT Writers

Very exciting news, and as a big Game Of Thrones fan I couldn't be happier with this choice. They seem really well suited to explore 'ancient' times, the Old Republic era perhaps. It should also be noted that these seeds being sown may not be manifesting as movies for some considerable time, Game Of...

And of anyone can provide a direct link for an mp3 that doesn't involve third party software id appreciate it. I'm living in hospital for a while and won't be near my pc. Werth hospital WiFi being what it is, i like to dl files with a trainee rather than steam. Bloody podbean. It lets me dl anythin...

Re: Toy Run Podcast

Nice one, it's at The Willis Museum in Basingstoke till April 14th, and then its at Experience Barnsley from April 21 - July 15. At the risk of sounding mysterious it will be at further venues but I cant say which as the museum press people like to control the announcement.
