Re: Advice/Help please from members in the USA

The global shipping program is a wind up Mike and I've just had to go through it twice in a month and ended up having to pay two thirds of the total price of the item on the shipping and customs charge. This is just something that you have to factor in when buying from the US but every now and then ...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 53 LAUNCHED

My son put this together for me to take a quick few snaps. All complete as well which is a bonus!

Re: Latest Modern Acquisitions

Well done Taff with completed the moc run, fantastic achievement and I watched Rogue One again last night and can see the appeal of putting this run together. Such a great film and that Vader scene at the end still makes my eyes water with excitement!

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I haven't added a figure to my loose vintage collection for a long time. Here's a recently acquired Takara alternate sculpt C-3PO partnered up with my wind-up R2-D2. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4888/44951702265_4c7da93760_c.jpg That's a lovely set of droids you have there. Two that I would love i...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Thoughts. Recent win on eBay. Paid 1/10th what a complete one sold for on SWFUK a little while ago, so saw this is a bargain and only way I’ll ever afford one. The seller had attached a printed nameplate so it displays a little better, but I personally don’t like that. My idea is to either display ...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 45, 2018, Part 1/2

Nice Canadian card back and figure Lars, as mentioned earlier these were pretty cheap to pick up for years on both cards but now seem to cost a lot more (like everything vintage). I also have a Kenner Droids R2 and used to have an 85 one but the bellow was more yellow so I kept hold of the ungraded ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Call me crazy, but I recently got my hands on this 1950's swivel top vacuum and it still works like a champ even though it's over 60 years old. (Insert rant about how they don't make stuff like they used to). I'm sure my fellow geeks know exactly where this comes from. For those that don't know yet...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

The magic Mr Spoon came down from button moon and delivered me this full selection of micro vehicles C005933A-D92F-484F-8469-1C644C9BB12D.jpeg Being able to by them all in one go was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Cheers Andy. Only 1 left now until I have the full production run That's a...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 45, 2018, Part 1/2

Here's my C-3PO I picked up years ago. I do really like the 2 droids from this series so picked up both of them and also have a loss droids R2 but no loose C-3PO. It's amazing how much the loose C-3PO goes for now, it's almost the same as a moc last time I looked.

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 53 LAUNCHED

Another classy edition from the forum boys and as so many have mentioned it's a shame to hear Simon will no longer be a regular but hopefully he'll get the chance to drop in every now and then. I really enjoyed the David Phillips interview and have a couple of old friends who also work at Weta so it...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 44, 2018, Part 1/2

Thanks for all the kind words guys. When I was working away in the US recently I had access to an RP machine so it's just a shame I never got to scan the original clips and and gunner seat with cockpit as I would have been able to print these parts off to scale (including the garbage chute). maybe ...

Is this micro enough for you guys (I made it from post-it's years ago)? :D Ian cool little death star you have made ian, how did you make it ? Thanks for the comment Lars. No worries Taff, I'll see if anyone else has any thoughts but I think you're prices were about right for on here.
