Re: What did everyone have in their childhood collection?

At the time I thought I had most of the figures with the exception of Lumat, B-wing Pilot and Han trench coat. I had picked up Anakin, Imperial Dig and A wing. But had not idea of any others, so obviously in addition to the above 3 was missing most of the last 17. Did have lots of doubles of key fig...

Re: -what's a true holy grail...

As far as I'm concerned a true holy grail is whatever piece you want most, for whatever personal reasons you have for wanting it. Like the other classic 'mega rare' grail gets thrown about a lot. This is or that is the holy grail of star wars collectors etc... Bull! who is anyone to tell me what the...

Re: didnt know palitoy licensed startrek stuff

Just watched the big bang episode mentioned above and noticed the star trek toy boxes had Palitoy on them...which was a shock. :o

Did a quick google search just to check my mind wasn't playing tricks and this thread was one of the first links to come up!

Re: Your first experience of Blue snaggletooth?

Knew nothing about him until I got Sansweets book in 94. Didn't see one until 99 when I went to my first collectors show in Cheshunt. Saw that and the VC jawa for the first time...both for £250 each! Back then I thought...that's crazy, i'll never spend that much. What did I know back then!! ...

Surely a wookie or an ewok would have been more suitable to have on the front of those? :?

Re: Palitoy 12 & 20 Back Questions?

Does anyone know what the highest price a jawa has hit in the last 3 years on a public auction?

Or what the average price has been?

Re: top 3 last 17 figures

I think Barada is one of the best sculpts in the whole line, and looks like he could have been made 10 years later. Shame he's another jabba goon. Funny you should say that but... Before I knew much about the last 17, in the early 90's I was hitting the carboot sales and picked a lot of figures I r...

Re: 12 back questions

I think with a bit of luck and not being super condition focussed you could still do a set of 12 for less than £1k per figure average. You should get stormtrooper, DSC, tusken raider and c3po for £500 - £600 each - with some patience and flexibility on condition. R2 should still be under £1k and Va...

Re: 12 back questions

It's shocking really. I know certainly with Palitoy it's definitely more a case of increased popularity/demand than rarity as the numbers known to exist are considerably greater than early 2000, when it was deemed almost impossible to put a set together but if achieved, the entire 20 would be under ...

Re: The Mega Rare Palitoys...

Well, the cantina creatures can be found in resaonable numbers on 45a.

Never seen them on 41 though there are rumours of greedo.

So they did get some love bit later
