Re: New retroline.......

I'm sure I've read somewhere that they have been resculpted. Someone was saying on some close up photos that you can tell they're new sculpts. Personally I'd love to see a Sandtrooper. That's a no brainer as it would be so easy to make, maybe they will even reissue the Dewback. I'm beginning to get ...

Re: New retroline.......

How many retro do they intend to release the first 21 perhaps not the whole 98 surely??? Well, you've got to presume these are going to sell out fairly quick. At $10 a pop it's not like they're going to price themselves out of the market which is what seems to have happened to the Jumbo figures. I ...

Re: New retroline.......

Tarkin looks off, but that's the point isn't it? All the old figures look off to some degree and that's adds to the charm of them. For Tarkin to actually look like Peter Cushing it wouldn't be right and it wouldn't fit in with the other vintage figures. I'm not too sure what to think about these. I ...

A spin-off film is crewing up at the moment so I'm guessing we will get another one in two years.

Re: So what did you think about Solo: A Star Wars Story ??? SPOILERS

I thought it was good, I enjoyed it more than Rogue One and TLJ. The characters worked, Chewey was great. The actors all did a good job and their chemistry worked. Still not convinced about the casting of Han, but he did his thing. The one part I really didn't like was Enfys Nest taking off her helm...

Re: Why do most SW fans say ESB is the best film in the OT?

I'm with TC, Star Wars is the best of the OT. However, Empire is better directed, shot, and acted, but it's a continuation of characters set up in the first film. Star Wars does a colossal job of building a complete and convincing universe with believable characters in it. At the start you are watch...

Re: Haslab Khetanna

... It's kind of nuts that they're doing this preorder considering it's Hasbro, but then again how long have we waited for one of these. So it's about £400, and depending on how many they make, it would likely go up in value. If this all happens and the preorder works we might finally get a proper a...

Re: Han Solo movie: what do you think?

I'm kind of looking forward to it. Surprising as I wasn't at all hyped for TLJ (good job too). The new trilogy seems to be directionless and I don't really care for any of the new characters, so these anthology films are at least dealing with the OT hardware. I thought a Rogue One was ok, a bit mess...

Re: Your thoughts on George Lucas

I think he was a cool filmmaker from the 70's, who had a big hit with American Graffitti then stumbled onto something amazing in Star Wars. I think he had such a hard time making it, having to prove himself over and over again that when it became a massive hit it must have gone to his head. If you l...

Re: JUST BACK FROM CINEMA THREAD - ROGUE ONE - SPOILERS ALERT!!!

I really liked it. It was well acted, paced and shot. The effects were great, there was stuff in there I'd never seen before, great moments. I normally hate cgi characters but I really liked Tarkin. I thought they did a good job with him considering how monumentally difficult it is to create a belie...

Re: Woolworths Memories...

I remember getting Hammerhead in Woolies. For some reason it's a really clear memory. I was holding the card really looking at the picture, my mum saw a friend and started chatting, and her friends son was looking at my Hammerhead and he was asking his mum to get it for him. I thought he wanted to t...

Re: Any model builders uk or us that could do a restoration for me ?

You could try silver leaf. I've done bits of gilding for artwork and it's very chrome like, much more so than spray paint. You would also need a varnish to stop it coming off. It's tricky. For the blue you could paint over the chrome with the right colour ink. It would have to be ink not paint to le...

Re: Darth Vader tour photos wanted

I saw him at Kerrisons in Gt Yarmouth. No photos, but I clearly remember looking over the side of the staircase that he was walking up when he made his entrance. Brilliant, can't remember if I got anything, just loads of us kids who all went quiet as he appeared.

Great photos guys.

Re: Rogue one *full trailer* released (SPOILERS)

mmm... The best stuff was the Star Destroyers, Emperors Royal Guards and the OT Stormtroopers. Not sold at all on Felicity Jones, another feisty female lead. There's nothing in the style if shots that feels anything like the OT. It's got OT stuff in it (great) but it's shot like Black Hawk Down - fr...
