Re: Elliott Ashton - Memorial Thread

I didn't know him but it's very sad to hear of another Star Wars fan leave the planet.

RIP Elliott :(

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I bought this on ebay this week as a newly listed Buy It Now for £120 which I was more than happy to pay as they really are hard to find sealed like this. It arrived today and imagine my joy as it included the original mailing box which is as rare as hens teeth. No mention or pictures of it in the l...

Re: Help needed identifying this.....

This is a weird one, never seen anything vintage that fits the bill, maybe a POTF2 display? Unpainted prototype for a instore promotion maybe? The odd thing about it is the size and shape, to have the back of the helmet produced would imply that it sat in the centre of something rather than hung on ...

My 12 back re-seal run just wouldn't look anywhere near as cool without the cases.

I've got a mint one I couldn't sell for £15 so I'd bite their hand off for £25!

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

As I said in a recent Facebook post, forget the name of the accused for a second, NO scammers should be welcome at events like this in my opinion. I would be shocked to see Toy Toni, Billy Boy etc allowed to sell at a community focused event. And with all the recent evidence posted by various peopl...

Make the sodding figures hold their weapons properly for a start. LUKE BESPIN LUKE JEDI TIE PILOT LEIA BESPIN AT AT COMMANDER LUKE ENDOR LANDO GENERAL... the list goes on. Also, whilst watching Jedi again it occured to me what a mistake it was taking a bright gold droid and a bright white one on a c...

Re: NEC Toy Fair 30 Sep 2018

There’s a cafe at the top (which gets quite rammed as the morning goes on) maybe we can organise a meet up? Would love to but doubt we'll have 5 minutes as it tends to be busy for us all day - but please come over and introduce yourselves as we love to chat to other forum members :) We're normally ...

No, it's a toy fair not a comic con or similar, all about the toys! Definitely one of the best shows in the UK.

Old Skool Toys will be there with stacks of new stuff.

Re: Vectis 25th September

Looks like a good selection of items... I have to confess I haven't seen this Vader helmet store display before - is this correctly described as vintage? Any one know this item? https://www.vectis.co.uk/star-wars-large-vintage-darth-vader-head-store-display_726542?records_per_page=24&page_num=1...

Vectis 25th September

Well, another auction and looks to be better than the last in terms of items up for sale.

For me this piece is without doubt the stand out item:

Re: Grading ridiculous items

Don't get me wrong, grading has it's place, but when they're taking money off someone for this I think it's gone too far.

Grading ridiculous items

Recent trawl through ebay revealed this gem: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Vintage-UKG-Graded-Shipping-Container-Jabba-Pipe-Baggies-80/253834437820?hash=item3b19b624bc:g:ngkAAOSwLVFbg8JD Now I've seen some stupid things graded in my time - loose Jabba's that look like turds in a box, a loose ...
