Re: Items you now regret selling?

Not really regretted selling anything Star Wars, but I do really regret selling my Mattel Landram form the Galactica line. I bought mine MIB complete in a mint box in the early days of ebay for practically nothing, $50 or so and it was rare back then. I'd be looking at thousands now to replace it fo...

Re: Darth Vader toyshop visits

I met him at the Normid Hypermarket (CO OP) in Talke Pits near Stoke-on-Trent back in 1983 just after Jedi had been released. It was a massive supermarket where we did our weekly shop. I was taken along with a friend to see him and given some pocket money to buy a figure. The new Jedi figures were l...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Nice Ben _Lee_, that was the last one I needed for my run and the one I paid most for in the end.

Ian really helped me with my run too, one of the good guys for sure.

Decent re-seals are rarer than MOC's these days - and catching up in value!

CCP, mainly because I love the cloud car design so much - and anything Bespin is always cool.

Re: Childhood Vintage collection Valuation.

The Fett looks like a UK catalogue piece - KAYS catalogue judging by the reference on the label. Don't worry about the gun missing, it's one of the pieces you can pick up separately if it's missing - normally about £20-25. The box and figure look to be in really good shape, plus it has the yellow in...

Re: The Palitoy Star Wars Return Of The Jedi Command Satellite

Fantastic stuff. I remember one of these in John Menzies in Argyll Street, Glasgow. I remeber that one day it was accompanied by a very lonely Darth Vader that nobody except passers-by seemed to know about. I'm guessing 1984 or even early 1985 but I suppose the date of that issue of ROTJ weekly is ...

Re: Childhood Vintage collection Valuation.

All advice given so far is spot on, you've done the right thing coming here to start with as we can help you identify the cherries in what is an awesome collection. Can we see some pore pics of the Fett doll and box please? As Carl states, if that has a Palitoy sticker - or even a UK price label - t...

R5, because of all the figures they could have made, they made one of a robot that broke down and was in the film for a few seconds - bizarre.

Cool droid though :)
