Re: Vinyl Cape Jawa Help again ?

I agree with Ian, looks off to me.

Colour doesn't look quite right, although the arm holes look good, very tight but some edges look very rough.

Need better pics before confirming though.

Re: Repro Palitoy Deathstar

For those interested, I reviewed one of Darrens reproduction boxes a while back. The box is well constructed and printed using a very high quality printer and paper, not an inkjet printer. Check out the video and you can see it...

Repro Palitoy Deathstar

Replicator boxes and repro are well covered on this forum and elsewhere in the web but I just want to highlight again the sheer stupidity of buying into this shady area of collecting. A buy it now for £125 for an inkjet, hand cut, minus ALL the plastic parts and an inferior print of the Palitoy Deat...

Re: Palitoy Vinyl Caped Jawa?!

I have never understood why there is a “contact the seller” link on the sales page. Surly if you want to ask a question it should be visable for all to see in the questions box, and no a private message? Would this not reduce the amount of back door deals? The seller always has the option of making...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Massive congrats on getting that Bomber Rich, always good to hear when collectors finally get hold of something they've been hunting for ages :)

I don't collect any of the Jedi range but there are several pieces that I would consider owning, the B-Wing is one of them and that is a cracker.

Great run on the comics Simon, love seeing stuff like this come to light, items you never knew existed that are...'beyond the toys'!

Re: A new New Hope!

Welcome, always great to see new members join the community.

One word of advice though, don't sell your childhood figures to upgrade like that R2 as you say, I'd happily give away my mint examples for any of my childhood ones. They cannot be replaced, you'll regret it I'm sure.

Re: Star Wars 1977 Movie Poster Help Needed

It's a modern print, as Ian has said, the EMPIRE logo is from the magazine, probably from one of their Star Wars special editions as a freebie or similar.

Not worth anything I'm afraid.

No better feeling than finding stuff in the wild and in person, especially when the figures are as nice as those.

Nice one fella!

Re: Questions about 12" vintage fett

Fett is probably the best in the line, although IG88 is joint 1st IMO. There are repro braids out there but easily spotted, also seen a gun but again, easy to spot. As some have already said, wise move to buy complete right off the bat as piecing one together will take time and more money in the lon...

Re: Advice on Death Star Droid

I think using part of another bubble would be better, I'm sure you could find a knackered one that you could salvage. Then just use some small bits of sellotape to attach it to the main bubble. It would look much better IMO.
