Re: Build Your Own R2D2

Another few months gone... up to 88 now. Dome is complete.. body panels and main legs are done. Just got the centre foot to go and all the electronic wizardry to fit in the final issues. Also needs fully bolting/screwing together. Retraining bolt is a half size replica from eBay. 20180920_183727.jpg...

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

Charges were certainly raised against Toni, but police forces are short on resources and as all the debate demonstrates it is really hard to prove anything. Unfortunately vintage toy crime is unlikely to be made a priority. The police and action fraud looked into Toni but without clear evidence dec...

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

Problem with all these scammers is that they've all been allowed to get away with it. TT shafted thousands out of people, yet still is free... Jeff did the same, and is still welcomed at events. Billyboy used many an excuse, and mostly health related... he's still is about somewhere.. They've all co...

Re: Trip logo Luke stormtrooper ukg80 carded

How is a 90/80/90 an 80 overall? Doesn't make sense to me. Can someone explain UKG system please? Same as AFA,,, they will always use the lower grade as the main grade. You could have a bubble at 70, a figure at 90 and the card at 40... overall grade 40.. You'd think they'd take an average of the 3...

Re: Just popped in to see Toy Toni

A few unused cards made it into the collector market..

IIRC Lee Bullock had a Lando Skiff card a fair few years back.

Re: Just popped in to see Toy Toni

He still had a fair few genuine cards up until a few months ago... not sure why he's removed them now.. I have been going in almost every week for a few years now, and I think he took them all out because people stopped buying them. Before they were selling quite regularly and he was re stocking al...

Re: Full MOC run

I owned a full 96 set up till 2003... sold them off as I went in a different direction.. always regretted it as had some real gems in there... but also a fair few TTs that wasn't world news back then too. Now owing my second set is a mixture of thoughts.... since having our little one the temptation...

Re: Boba Fett and Storm Trooper ESB

Last Stormtrooper sold in April last year for £185, and Fett back in June last year for $650 although that had a shaved POP on the back.

Both were Facebook sales.

At a rough guess, in todays climate, I'd say £250 for the Stormtrooper and £700 for the Fett.

Hopefully others will chime in.

A picture or 2 paints a thousand words.

Condition is everything, so if you can stick a few decent pics up of each, then people can give you a better idea.

Re: Toy Toni selling his unused MOC stock

I've just noticed that Toni's website has now gone: http://www.toytoni.com He has also taken most of the Star Wars stock out of his Snoopers Paradise stall. Still selling a few small bits on eBay, but maybe he's finally winding down? Who's up for a group buy? :) What do you think he has left ? i wo...
