Star Wars: Droids - What's the appeal?

Hey all, I'd really like to get a consensus here. Like you, I'm a devoted vintage Star Wars collector, but recently I've seen a massive spike in the value of Star Wars: Droids figures. I don't collect them myself, nor have I had any interest. They used to be just a fringe subset that could be had fo...

Melinda is working on a video to address this phenomenon as a way to try and get other women to stop being so hard on their toy enthusiast boyfriends and husbands. I will keep you posted.

Re: Retroblasting - Palitoy Death Star Playset

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Just some background - We received a letter from a chap (credited at the beginning of the video) who said he had his childhood Palitoy Death Star and he didn't want it to be sold to a stranger, but he had to get rid of it for space purposes. It was in amazing con...

Re: Found My Holy Grail!

Big congrats from the USA! Finding your childhood companions is a major win. When we came back from the UK, my toys had been in storage in the USA for three years plus. As the truck was unloaded, I was frantically trying to find the Star Wars figures. GI Joes surfaced, Transformers surfaced, Bravest...

Re: Playground Urban Myths

There was always the one kid that claimed to have it, but he was always the kid that never had anyone over to witness it. Sadly, this behavior (or delusion) carries over...

Seems we all had those little liars in school. I met more than a few here the states as well when I was growing up.

Re: SWFUK PODCAST Rebranding

While I am one of those "stupid Americans" that loves this forum, I was neither confused by the original logo, nor upset that it has changed. Maybe that's because I grew up in Surrey, or maybe because I identify with Brits more than Americans. Or maybe because I understand that change is i...

Re: Retroblasting - Y-Wing Restoration PT1

I would love to see a video about how to remove those stickers  That becomes a dicey trick. Some say use a hair dryer on low heat, keeping it about a foot away from the toy, and dry out the adhesive so the sticker will easily come away from the surface of the toy. Others say they use lighter ...
