Re: Can't see the wood for the trees.

I think half of my problem is I only collect MOC now and they are so expensive I spend ages searching for the next one I need or want. When I finally get it I'm very happy but completely bankrupt by the purchase. Some good points being made, I often see posts saying collect what makes you happ...

Can't see the wood for the trees.

Been thinking lately although I consider myself very lucky to have a good size collection with all my childhood items to display, do I appreciate each individual item as I should? When I get a new MOC I keep it in different parts of the house for about a week, lounge, kitchen and bed side table real...

Re: Risks in Showcasing your Collection?

I got about 10 of the 70 back, the rest must have been sold although we only tracked down about 10 that had been. No he wasn't prosecuted, no evidence that he actually stole them despite the fact he had them in his possession. No idea why handling stolen goods wasn't enough for a prosecution. I was...

Re: Why bother?

This happened to me last week for a Lando, offered £8 and the seller countered with £8.50.

I thought exactly the same why bother and just declined, I understand the seller has a bottom line but every time I put an offer in, the seller always seems to counter.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

So today Walrusman finally arrived which completes my Kenner debut 20 backs. Ok not true debuts but I would need to sell some body parts to get a set of 20 a's. 4 years to finish this run, not bad by my tight arse standards. :D http://i1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj571/theforceuk/IMG_1295_zpsdaxhoqc...

Re: -what's a true holy grail...

As far as I'm concerned a true holy grail is whatever piece you want most, for whatever personal reasons you have for wanting it. Like the other classic 'mega rare' grail gets thrown about a lot. This is or that is the holy grail of star wars collectors etc... Bull! who is anyone to tell me what th...

I have a healthy obsession, often think about what I'm going to buy next but only buy something when I have the cash. :)

Re: Where next?

The boxed items are still reasonably priced at the moment as long as they are not graded, or even MISB. Mini rigs are a good one to go for. :D
