Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 32, 2018, Part 2/2

Thanks Lars, I don’t really think he’s that cool but since the thread didn’t have a trilogo moc I felt like it needed posting.

I also had a yak as a child but my best mate conned me out of it when we were kids and the bastard won’t give it back!

Re: Vintage SW is still affordable - £50 or less MOCs latest acquisitions

My pick ups from FF this weekend are a couple of Mos Eisley boozers and I got the pair for £100.

Big thanks to Rob Marsh (if he’s still on here) for such a great deal.

Re: Boba fett palitoy baggie 1980 ukg 90

I don’t think it would have come with the apology note since our 20 backs don’t have the rocket firing mail away offer.
Im not a baggy expert but it should have been packaged with a catalogue like this one

Re: Star wars Episode 1 cards

They’re phone cards but as Carl said, unfortunately most prequel stuff is worth very little.

There’s a set for sale on eBay right now which might give you an idea of value:

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Great Nien numb, not an easy trilogo to find. How the bubble managed to stay in that condition though considering the battering the cards had, and it being a trilogo, is beyond me!

Re: Full MOC run

So Edd you have nearly a full trilogo run plus the extras for nearly a full 96 run as well as your 70b/70c focus? That’s a lot of Mocs so it’s probalby a good job you don’t collect anything else like vintage computer games. When the trilogy was released on DVD, Woolworths did a promo that cam...

Re: Full MOC run

I thought I wouldn’t be the only one feeling the temptation of collecting them all, Kenner’s marketing executives did such a good job they still have us under their spell 40 years later! You’re absolutely right though Ben, tick box collecting can easily become a drag, especially when individual item...

Re: Full MOC run

Do it, it's the dream! I want to do it as close to debut cards as possible, but there are some I can't see me getting. Boba Fett, Anakin Skywalker and Yakface are the obviouse concerns. I kind of like the impossible challenge though, as I know it will be a liittle sad in a strange way if I ev...

Re: Full MOC run

That’s a good shout to chip away at a run by picking up bargains where you can, there’s something so much more satisfying about spending time waiting for the right piece to come up. Lars, why don’t you trade some ewoks and droids Mocs for the ones you’re missing? You could probably tick off at least...

Full MOC run

I recently landed the very last MOC I wanted to complete the various runs I was interested in which brought my tally up to 48 characters - half of the full run. Whilst my intention was to stop at this point, the temptation to carry on and go for the lot is quite alluring! It would certainly be a che...

Re: A Trip Down Memory Lane - photo donation and discussion thread

Here's one for the Swindon lads, This is a C3P0 trilogo cardback from my childhood, bought in Trents at the bottom of town. DSC05812a.jpg Trents later became Beaties and then closed down in the late 90's. It reopened as a pub (the bedroom I think?) in the early 2000's. God knows what it is now. I ha...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

You might get lucky with a Death Star set but collecting micro in the UK isn’t easy. I’ve nearly got a full run without shipping anything over from the U.S. so it can be done with patience.

Unfortunately I’m not in Cardiff any more but I always make sure I pick up a Clarksie when ever I go back!

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to add this Death Star World micro set to my collection 98B9AC2B-69C2-4802-A278-A0D9A8E24857.jpeg It’s been played with but this is the first time I’ve seen one for sale in the UK in the 3 years I’ve been looking and I couldnt find reference to a boxed one being so...
