WTB - Old school rarities

I’m going to try to put together an “old school rarities” run, that is items that were perceived as being grails back in the early day of collecting. I’m looking for: Boxed A wing, skiff and sonic landspeeder - not sealed but would need to be complete. Inserts a bonus Boxed 12 inch ig-88 - again not...

Re: Best way to send / package figures

For bog standard loose figures, wrap them in bubble wrap, put the weapon in a baggie and tape this to the bubble wrap and then put everything in a Jiffy bag. More expensive and fragile loose like ev-9d9 you’d be better off with a box and packing peanuts in addition to the bubble wrap. Best way to sh...

Re: So what did you think about Solo: A Star Wars Story ??? SPOILERS

I think having your legs amputated at the knees is a bit different to being chopped clean in half! I remember seeing a documentary where Lucas stated he deliberately did that to maul to make sure there was no way he could come back as he wanted palpatines story in the prequels to be about his ongoin...

Re: So what did you think about Solo: A Star Wars Story ??? SPOILERS

I watched it on sat but wanted to wait to let it sink in before I commented and I’m glad I did. I can out of the cinema thinking it was average but over the last 2 days I’ve come to realise I enjoyed it more than that. I thought the lead was great, so was he rest of the cast and I was really pleased...

Re: Vintage Stormtrooper Figure

When you post about how you think other posters should have replied, and that’s your own contribution to the OP  Did ya have a late night or summat?! (Jokes) :D What’s that all about? Scooternick didn’t say anything like that and he’s absolutely right - a stormy moc is really cool piece to sta...

Re: Kenobi Movie

I’m keen for this, as crap as the prequels are, the period between should provide a really interesting backdrop - Rebels was great.

No signs of casting but if they make this without Ewan McGregor, the internet is literally going to explode.

Re: Jabbas playset, Trilogo?

Oh and if you are interested, the real trilogo vehicles like the x-wing and y-wing are amongst the rarest production items out there.
I may have this wrong but I think they have only been found in Ireland.

Re: DT Ben and Vader sell for over $100,000

That’s very true. Fiona Bruce’s complete disdane for the screen used tie fighter helmet on antiques roadshow really hammers that point home. My issue with spending 100k on collectibles is that sort of money could be used for a much better cause. It’s the same issue, allbeit on a different scale, to ...

Re: i believe that R1 will be a future cult classic

Totally agree with the CG Tarkin but it’s something they could fix with future releases in a similar way to the episode I Yoda. I just hope they can do the same for Vader’s swagger  R1 is my favourite by miles of any of the films since return of the Jedi. Let’s hope they can strike gold twice ...
