Re: Latest Acquisitions

Another wonderful Farthest From, big thanks again to Dave Tree. It's been a very lean year for me but today I picked up my first 12 back and they don't come much more iconic than this. Thanks to Nick for doing such a great deal on it IMG_1058.JPG I also picked up this VHS display from Mark Daniels, ...

Re: High res images of card backs

You won't get any love asking people to help you make repros I'm afraid. If you'd have asked first, you'd have been advised to stay away from costa Blanca Star Wars (or what ever he trades as now), his products are shoddy and he's a bit of a twat. Why don't you collect some original card backs and d...

Re: What’s your favourite First 12 figure loose and is it different to your favourite First 12 MOC?

I don't really have a lot of love for the first 12, mostly because I was too young to remember them but I also feel the sculpting was understandably poorer than the rest of the run. The telescoping lightsabers didn't do it for me either along with Hans massive head (didn't know about the pin head ve...

Re: Do you post after having a drink?

Yes I've done it, it all depends what you've posted. If it's something silly or on the other hand it makes you cringe once you've reread it the next day. Its really not a nice feeling it's more embarrassment than anything, I've been down both roads  I try to avoid posting on the web now if I'v...

Re: Farthest From XVI - 9th and 10th December 2017

Edit: had a short talk with my wife in the meantime. Maybe I'm a little bit late in planning for this FF and better try to get there next time. :( Then I'll maybe do this trip with a fellow collector from Germany and we will combine it with a roundtrip along the coast. That's a real shame as the Ch...

^^ exactly, who cares what the grade says, if you break it out you'll just have to buy another case so I'd leave it.

Re: Beater weequay Moc

I think you were pretty much spot on with your initial valuation. It's a real mess and you should be able to pick up a c7 one for around £40.

Luke blue sabre did come on a trilogo although there are very few examples.

Scottyboy offered me one for sale a few years back and I turned him down

Re: Palitoy 20-backs with damaged bubbles

I picked up the 4 cantina aliens with cut bubbles last year for about 90 a piece so I'd recon they might go for the higher end of Carl's estimate although bum face seems to be missing the bottom part so might be a bit less.

Mine had the footers but we're missing the nameplates

Re: The beginning of the end?

As Churchill once said "it is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end, but it is perhaps the end of the beginning". I feel like we're at a point of saturation, there can't be many more people left to enter the hobby and with the frequency the new films are released and how eve...

Re: What are Your Favourite & Least Favourite Vintage Weapons / Accessories?

Zuckuss blaster was my go to as a kid. It's absolutely enormous and would take out waves of storm troopers with ease. I'll second the ree yees blaster for the worst choice. It's so shit I didn't even realise it's supposed to be a blaster until I started collecting. I thought it was some sort of pipe...
