Displaying your 12" figures

In wondering how you guys deal with 12 inchers with balance issues. I've recently set aside some space to display the big guys I've been collecting on the side and am finding that Fett and Vader are so top heavy that I'm wedging then in corners like shrieking violets when I'd like them up front and ...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 54 LAUNCHED

Again, thanks for the excellent show. I'm unable to stray far due to ill health so the Palitoy event recording is greatly appreciated. I'm sure anyone similar, or those who are simply too busy to attend these events, enjoy this kind of coverage. For me it brings me a bit closer to the action than I'...

Re: BBC Arena Cinema from 1978

Ha yes, the presenter is a great example of pompous late-night BBC2 critics of a time gone by.

You'll find other UK-centric Star Wars oldness on my YouTube account.

BBC Arena Cinema from 1978

I acquired this programme which coincided with the UK release of Star Wars. Arena Cinema seemed to focus on one film for the main part of show them have other reviews etc toward the end.

There's some behind the scenes stuff in here I haven't seen elsewhere too.

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 53 LAUNCHED

Thanks for a great episode. As always, your hard work has me hypnotized to it. Pete, you don't have to imagine the VME is in the film just because the hydro-spanners are there... https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/5/5a/VME.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/250?cb=20130318211728

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 52 LAUNCHED

Great show as always. A delight to hear Jez going the extra mile, and then some, to be on. Just one thing though. Don't his colleagues rip the piss for having plush Ewoks, knitted Porgs and whatever else he takes to bed? I can only assume it's understood that he could CRUSH anyone having a pop if he...

Re: Grading ridiculous items

My favourite was the bootleg pairing of an Ewok figure that came with two sticks of UHU craft glue in a foreign territory I forget at the moment.

Not just graded but u-graded, no less.

Yes, an Ewok and two Pritt stick type things encased in acrylic.

Re: POSITIVE ONLY - Movie/scene list

Star Wars - Binary Sunset. I'm especially fond of the first act. It's nice seeing their idea of hum-drum. Empire Strikes Back - Luke dangling from the weather vein mentally reaching out to Leia. The music. The sunset. The Falcon flying through the clouds. Return Of The Jedi- Flying thru the innards ...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 49 LAUNCHED

Thanks guys for another great listen. I'm partial to a bit of the 12 inch range. Thankfully I'm happy with them loose because the boxing is terribly complicated. Interesting stuff. And Paploo's over-representation: Kenny Baker's Ewok ( as we call Paploo ) was, as we all know, intended to be Wicket u...

Re: Found it, made me laugh, stole it. :)

Oh the whole too-short thing puzzled me too, as a child.

Despite that, I was about 27 when I realised it doesn't make sense for them to have their own clothes and boots back after the trash compactor.

Beezer!

Thanks guys. Any Pye Records ( or any other company with an evocotave 70s logo) / Star Wars crossover is good news,

Re: i believe that R1 will be a future cult classic

I'll be interested to see how CG Tarkin fares in years to come. Perhaps in a few years time we'll have 100% convincing CG humans and what's in R1 could prove to be very bizarre. Its uncanny-valley has proven a deal breaker for me, sadly. I'm taken right out of the film by him and odd Leia. I'm quite...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 46 LAUNCHED

Thanks for another great episode guys and to the interviewees. It never ceases to amaze me when my name appears due to a minor purchase. I've said this before but what makes this show great it's about all types of collecting. There's interesting stuff at all levels. And this has to be the longest po...
