Re: The Empire Strikes Back Revisited - Review

It's very impressive. Adywan's obsession with physical placement makes the action feel somehow closer. Seeing the harpooned ATAT, to name one example, from Wedge's window gives added physicality to the scene. Similarly, Adywan doesn't seem to like inserted shots such as R2's sensorscope peeping out ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I've not bought anything substantial in a while. i took the plunge on this! The Micro Collection Bespin sets were something i coveted in the mini-catalogs as a kid so this one is a small realisation of a dream! It was damn good therapeutic fun setting it up too. :D https://i.imgur.com/22c8Ooc.jpg

Re: How did you store your figures first time round?

Instead of mainstream press articles asking 'have you got a Star Wars fortune in your loft', they should send their readers crawling under floor voids looking for tiny endor blasters in amongst the soot.

I did the exact same thing, 21b. He gave me my money back on request after I became informed thanks to this thread.

Oh that kind of dealing with the mrs! I thought you were trying to buy a figure from her and she was being a tricky seller!

I kept my weapons in the void under the floor and in my mum's used hoover bags.

Re: What's the most underrated Star Wars toy?

I always quite liked the Anakin Skywalker figure. Much maligned, but I think it is a nice sculpt and I enjoyed recreating the "ghost" scene at the end of ROTJ :) I liked Anakin too. As a kid I'd imagine this is what Anakin in the forthcoming episodes 1,2 and 3 would be, so the figure gave...

Re: What's the most underrated Star Wars toy?

The Star Destroyer playset. As I've waffled at every opportunity, the playability was great. Vader's chamber that lights up, pits for the commanders to moan about the bounty hunters upstarts, two free clear stands. ... and, admitedly, a shite orange rectangle that's meant to be 'the grand viziar'

Re: How did you store your figures first time round?

I longed for a Vader case and when I finally got one I realized it was as useful as a cock on wheels. This was 30 years before i realised putting foam in the slots would make it work. The Rebel Transport was fit for purpose so got used during the latter days. I think that prior to that they were in ...

I'll get on the case too. I'm really looking forward to it.

Coincidentally, earlier tonight ( when passing the former Glasgow Odeon and the subject turned to seeing Star Wars there ) I told my brother about this book!

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 38 LAUNCHED

Many thanks once again for all the work that goes into the show. It's a real highlight.

You don't hear Rolf Harris too often these days, mind.
