Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

I was one of those weird kids who kept boxes and actually put his toys back in them. All my SW vehicles were sold with their boxes, and most of the other toys I have from my childhood are still boxed! I think it's because I used to love looking at toys in the shops and liked the idea of boxin...

Re: Vintage 70's / 80's Argos catalogues

I think I mentioned on the last argo's thread a few years ago, I could not believe the price £28.00 for the atat back in 81=82, what is that in todays money, it really makes you think how expensive toys were back then compared with today, (although some Hasbro prices are mad compared with other Chi...

Re: Were you a "one toy line" kid?

Other than Star Wars, Black Hole, VINCENT is still one of my favourite figures. Battlestar Galactica. Mego figures. Scalextric. Micronauts, the magnetic ones in black and white, robots and horses that fired missiles! Britains figures, WW2, Cowboys and Indians, Knights, Stargards and Aliens. Action ...

Re: So what did you think about Solo: A Star Wars Story ??? *NO* SPOILERS

I've only just watched it and must admit it's ok, as said before better than the last offering, its got the Disney sugar coating and there was no goose bump moments but it was on the whole ok and the time went fast when watching it which normally lets me know if its above average. And you get to see...

Re: Earliest Vintage SW Memories

I also remember cutting the back of a C3PO mask from a cereal packet around this time and also pencilling on the transfers onto the diorama's cards (letraset) and any other surface in the house

Re: Did anyone else watch esb yesterday on itv2?

As a kid I always remember the very last scene on the rebel ship where Luke , Leia and the droids look out the window, I had such excitement and anticipation back then awaiting the next instalment, then we got Ewoks  Empire like most, has always been my fav of all the films

Re: Palitoy landfill

:o I must admit I have found all of this addictive right from the start, time to call in Phil Harding, although degraded over time, it would be so interesting to maybe, one day, see what was under the ground, if any of it still survives.

Re: Show of your truly rare items

I believe this to be rare I had this on a thread a few years age and not found anyone else yet with one . A bounty hunter leaflet with no red in it. Opinion was a few years ago that it was part of a run where they left the red out, maybe an error or cost cutting. Its original as it came out of an Em...

Re: POSITIVE ONLY - Movie/scene list

For me I think this is influenced by a 7 year old me watching the death star trench scene in the original sw's film and when we finally got a pirated copy in 1979 pausing the scene over and over again on the old rented Ferguson video star, video and being totally blown away by the whole scene, that ...
