Re: Vintage SW is still affordable - £50 or less MOCs latest acquisitions

Got a couple of Mocs in for only $35 each. I've always loved the slightly grimy retail look of cards like this with all the offer stickers and catalogue/ shop price tags, they for me, become more of an art piece and more attractive for it, and tell more of a story, but then I am a bit mad :D nice p...

Re: What do you regret the most from your time in the hobby?

Only two small regrets early 90's passing up on a blue snag at a boot sale the chap said they were a bit rare I'd never seen one before and thought it was a bit expensive at £18 as I was picking figs up for 20p a shot and about the same time not knowing the last 17 and not buying amanaman , barada &...

Re: When were your golden years?

Going through the racks of figs in 80 /81 with my birthday money trying to get the full run and crossing them off on the back and picking up the odd stormy or snow trooper for the army with any spare money , think it was Christmas 82 when I got the ultimate the at at, (it was so cool back then) and ...

Re: Frank, Please come back to the Forum

Forum's like this rely on the more knowledgeable members to give helpful advice from time to time and as such they should be valued, I've had an interest in star wars most of my life but have nowhere near the level of knowledge demonstrated on here by Frank and others over and over again, it would b...

Re: Are Car Boots still an option?

Not as good as we had it in the late 80's early 90's but you still find a diamond in the ruff sometimes, think it helps if star wars is not your only hobby but still find little gems every now and then, some of my finds in the boot sale thread demonstrate the type of fair on offer, but you have to b...

Re: Toy Toni Boba Fett....

I sometimes imagine all of the unfortunate unsuspecting people over the years in shock at the sight of the bubble falling off frantically trying to reattach it where the glue has given up the ghost.

Re: When Did The Variant Thing Start ?

I hate to do this to you (not least because this sort of thing is presumably exactly what non-variant collectors don't care for :-)), but there are at least three different variants of Lando's belt buckle, not two (please excuse the poor photo quality; they weren't actually taken with a view to foc...

Re: When Did The Variant Thing Start ?

I'm not too into variants / variations , but was happy when I noticed I had both versions of the lando bespin belt buckle molds :) which I didn't even know existed till I saw the variant thread on it, and I also noticed I had two boba fetts with different shades of dark red / darker scarlet brown g...
