Re: Diorama - do or dont?

I think dioramas are great and I'd love to build some myself. Have thought about turning pigeon holes in my cabinet into small scenes. So much scope - Tattooine, Hoth, Endor etc. The big problem is that for good dioramas you need lots of horizontal space which nobody has. Most of us display in a ver...

Re: That second the guy next to you at work says "I've got some old figures I don't want"

I had he opposite or extreme I guess the company I joined in 2004 the warehouse manager had a boxed at-at under his desk  he lived right near the modellers loft in caterham and had built up a complete loose run and was now buying boxed ships and playsets I eventually bought the loose from hi...

Re: 70s/80s Toy Shops

This is a post I made a couple of years ago on another thread about childhood memories: "One of my best memories is actually of a toy shop and it makes me feel quite nostalgic thinking about it. It was in Rayleigh in Essex and it was called Peter Jones. Downstairs it was like Martins/W H Smith ...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I'm collecting on a budget at the moment and I picked this little beauty up the other day for a fraction of a sealed Moc. Apart from a slit round the bubble it's perfect. I like the photo on this card. Going to put a Ben in and add it to the collection. You can still enjoy collecting without spendin...

Well shitty! You can't steal from Sansweet. He's done loads for Star Wars fans and collectors. Met him briefly at celebration, nice fella. Hope he gets it all back :(

Re: What Do You Resent Buying?

Don't resent/regret buying anything Star Wars. Also don't feel the slavish need to complete "runs" so there's nothing I must have. I would never buy a Lobot or Madine or Bespin Guard Moc to finish something, they're lame and if I don't like it I don't buy it. My biggest fuck up was a loose...

Re: ROTJ MOC advice

You might be looking at Kenner ones, my Kenner has a different bubble and is lower. Looks ok to me too but impossible to say for sure without examining it in person.

Re: Auction Purchase - Reseal?

It looks like it's almost completely sealed to me except that little bit top right, so maybe a partial reseal. Looks good though, nice clean card and undamaged bubble. I wouldn't worry, it'll look good on display, just enjoy it for what it is. I wouldn't have bothered with the other ones personally ...

Re: What have you never owned?

There's lots of things in the line I've never owned but the only ones I really wanted was an Imp Shuttle and an AT-AT. I've got the Shuttle but I'd still love an AT-AT.

Re: Displaying Helmets

Just had a thought. You could use a lamp, just take the shade off. Ive got two plain black metal lamps from Ikea that would prob work.
