Re: Can't see the wood for the trees.

I must admit I'm questioning my baggie collection at the moment. As individual items I love them, but they look shit on display (sorry Frank!) and are just sitting in a box. Even if I had space I don't know what I would do with them. Loose figures look great on display, so do MOCs, baggies.... meh....

Re: Ever get something better than you thought you had?

I once got a 12 inch R2 at a boot sale for a fiver. Knew nothing about them, never had one. It was a bit yellow and well played with. Discovered ages afterwards it had the two little death star plans in it. I think they're worth pretty good money on their own now. Still got it, love it, wild find.

Re: Can't see the wood for the trees.

When I get something Vintage it goes straight in the cabinet/display. I don't see the point in having things if I can't display them and see them all the time. Having said that I do know exactly what you mean, there's always compromises and often new things are out of site even if not in storage. I ...

Re: Ideal Storage & Display Conditions?

Agree with Scott, a lot of it's common sense. Don't worry too much. As mentioned keep them out of sunlight, and away from heat sources. Normal heat fluctuations in your house even in mid winter shouldn't do any harm, prob only goes from between 15 to about 22 degrees C. And in summer in this country...

Aint that the truth. I used to do this too with Star Wars, Action Man, Transformers, He Man etc. Used to use the trees too

Re: What did you make for your figures?

Great thread! Me and my sister made a Yoda cave out of papier mache. Painted it brown and everything and I remember it was kicking around in my room for years. Did some kind of Hoth landscape as well. Reminds me Ive got to finish my cardboard At-At. Love making things.

Re: Why bother?

Agree with this although it does work both ways. Also think it depends on the value and who's buying and selling etc. Also if you listed something yesterday for 30 days why would you take a low offer straight away? No need. If I've listed something at 60 I'll prob take 50, thats the same as taking 1...

You'll have to state a price mate, offers are not allowed here. I'd give a price for the whole lot or sell in tens/twentys or whatever with a price per batch. Good luck with it

Indeed, hadn't thought of that.. but just started picking some up myself. Again you get a lot for your money, a fraction of the Moc price.

Re: Where next?

I love loose ships, started collecting them immediately I started collecting, along with loose figures. You get an awful lot for your money and as long as you have space for a big cabinet or shelves to display them they look great. I used to like finding the cleanest ones I could or completely unuse...

Re: Question On Values

Why are some items worth more than others? That's the big question isn't it. A pop up R2 is worth a lot more than an Anakin because it has a huge sticker round it that deteriorates with play, Anakin doesn't. It has an accessory that gets lost, Anakin doesn't. And it is a more popular character and m...
