Re: Hollow Tubes Sand Person

Here’s mine. 65 back, very dark brown bandolier and gloves. The gaffi stick looks normal, the same colour as my loose examples.

Re: Advice on display of 12 back

Personally I wouldn’t bother Mike. I certainly wouldn’t stick anything to it. If it was mine I would prob just display the back of it. Restoration is tricky and a bit risky on a 12 back if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing.

Re: Wonky Bubbles!!

Depends what it is. Palitoy? Kenner? What cardback is it? You do get wonky bubbles where the card didn’t line up straight in the sealing machine. Maybe post a photo up if you can.

Re: Imperial Blaster Colour Question

I don’t recall ever seeing any of the Imperial blaster figures packaged with the wrong coloured Imperial blaster and I was there in the 80’s and have been collecting for a long while. Mispackaged weapons are fairly common and I think that’s what we’re talking about here, not anything intentional. Un...

Re: How do you clean figures?

Mild baby wipes - great for cleaning figures and dirty ships and playsets. Then dry with kitchen towel. Works a treat :)

Re: How Many Known Examples Exist?

Its an impossible question to answer, how could anyone ever know how many still exist or are even available. I still believe there mocs stored away that people are just unaware that they are even around them. Just sitting waiting to be found in a loft or even in storage in old shops forgotten about...

Re: Erm... Ben?

Without that range, there would be NO 4” Star Wars figures. These are the reason Kenner chose the size they chose for the action figure range. I don’t think that’s the only reason Ben. I read they opted for 3 3/4’ scale because they wanted to make ships and playsets therefore the figures would have...

Re: When was the last time you saw a carded figure out in the wild?

Prob about 1985! As after I started secondary school in 1987 I had no interest in Star Wars toys for 20 years until I started collecting in 2007. I have never seen a carded figure in the wild other than in Modellers loft in Caterham and Snoopers Paradise in Brighton.

Re: Send away offer paperwork Palitoy/Kenner Parker 1984/85

That’s really cool that you still have those. Very interesting insight into the company and nice to have now as a collector. I don’t remember doing any offers or anything but I may have done. I like the - MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU! Yours sincerely, Kenner Parker. I was the sort of kid that used to k...
