Re: Customs Charges

Interesting thread I have just ordered a few items from the States value $600 Inc shipping . It is now sitting in Customs at the moment unopened (from what I'm told). I had to contact them on Friday to confirm what the contents were. Now I'm told it's released and should be delivered Monday. I am no...

Re: Modern MOC 'investing'

I remember one user on here but I can't remember his name. He had boxes of mocs for sale not that long ago. I know it was a gamble buying them, it's funny how the originals hold the value and still rise. I guess it's collectors that grew up with the first movies keep the wheel turning. The newer moc...

Re: MOC Autographed or noit?

What is the reason for asking the question? Are you trying to find out if it will increase in value so you can sell it at a profit? Or is it for your own display? Reading the replies I don't believe it's going to increase in value very much but only end up ruining the card on another moc. If it's fo...

Re: Removing soot from a moc

You could also consider the German made 'Ballistol' if what the guys advised didn't work. I'd be confident it would clean it and protect the plastic and card. But don't use to much small amounts to begin with at a time. I've used it a lot (but note I've never tried it on a moc myself) its the best c...

Re: MOC Autographed or noit?

I wouldn't either myself I feel it ruins the moc. I like having a carded figure the way it left the factory untampered with. If I was into autographs I would get a picture signed.

Re: Help / Advice needed from the pros!

If it's for your grandson as Ed said he might not even like Star Wars or have any attachments to the figures. Its really from our own memories why we collect these figures. Another option for you is to watch which toys he is attached to and gets enjoyment from. You could buy them boxed and store the...

Re: Set loose from an AFA tomb

I’m not a huge fan of grading but I’ve got some graded and some not. Either way I would never crack my graded out for the sake of it and then put them in another acrylic case - that really does seem nuts. UKG and GW Acrylic are both laughing all the way to the bank This is also how some of my colle...

Re: Quickdraw Han and articulated Greedo

I believe it's someone's handy work. I am looking at Greedos knees the cutting isn't uniform for a machine. It looks like someone put in a few hrs with a great little idea. It would have been cool though if these were made for the cantina scene as you say.

Re: Buying Dilemma

If you really want this item and it is hard to find. Make a lower offer to him than it is listed, and then adjust until he bites. At least you'll then have the item and can sell it again for the same price if you ever see a cheaper one that becomes available.

Re: Glitter or frosting??

I have a Luke farmboy moc and it has a real dark spot on his head (brown/black). I am not sure what the cause of this is, it looks different from the frosting effect. It seems to be slowly getting bigger over time.
