Re: 12 C VCJ with Harbert Sticker

Without seeing it in person, it's hard to say - but I'm leaning on it being a repair, rather than an outright fake. Chances of the bubble lining up AND the cardback being a rare harbert stickered variant has to be beyond slim!

Re: I have joined CAS's ownership team - PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW I CAN HELP YOU OR IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU WANT TO SEE

guys - you wont pay import duty to get your item back... I never have done with AFA. You're paying for an appraisal service, not the item - the insurance value doesnt come into it and it's legit. CAS just need to mark the forms properly. On the off-chance HMRC do charge you, it's an error and you ca...

Re: Vectis SW 40th Anniversary Wait

Same here, and since they haven't charged me for postage yet, I still have no idea how much longer I will have to wait. If this was eBay, I imagine negative feedback would be being considered by many buyers by now :-( I spoke to them about postage invoices and when items will be sent out and the re...

Not happy! :x

Is that not a CC fee for the whole lot, not just postage?

Re: Stolen Rocket Fett

It's also just been revealed that the same person has stolen many items from Steve Sansweet at Rancho Obi Wan over the last couple of years :( Many of which seem to have been sold on through Zach Tann (not knowing they were stolen and not part of the theft). Knowing how expensive items change hands...

Re: Prevention on cracking bubbles?

Buy some acid free 'archival' tape. Cut a small piece off and stick it down. It won't yellow or become brittle. The bubbles are definitely getting worse - I've seen way more lifted bubbles over the past year than ever before. I know a collector who has had a bubble crack develop from nothing which t...

Re: Palitoy Jawa MOC

I dont really understand the Jawa's rise in rarity. Years ago it was positively common, while Chewie, Luke etc were all similarly rare. I know Vectis have sold 4 or 5 Luke and Chewies and a couple of others have surfaced outside Vectis, but they've also sold a couple of Jawas. Supply has certainly c...

Re: What have you never owned?

I've never had a shuttle, skiff or any of the remote controlled toys. I have also never owned an x-wing that I can recall.

I've had an example of most other things at some point, I think! Oh to have kept them all.

£3.5 - £4k.

Prices have gone mental - I paid less than that under a year ago, mainly from dealers!

Re: Anthony Tipton - izzyblue

Very sorry to hear the sad news. RIP Anthony. My condolences to his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.

I didn't know Anthony personally, but will raise a glass tonight, and hold my family a touch closer.
