Re: How collecting changed and where to go to buy now ?

I hear what you're saying, Lee. Like you I was disheartened to say the least by TLJ and although I can say it did have an affect on my feelings towards current Star Wars films I didn't let it affect my love and passion for everything '77 to '85. To my eye these are quite different eras and there's ...

How collecting changed and where to go to buy now ?

The last year or so, following that sh*t awful Last Jedi, I lost a lot of interest in my vintage collecting. I’d get the odd thing but nothing like I used to. Just felt blah towards eBay and it’s “joys” and flat with Star Wars. I boxed my loose collection up and it’s still in store ! I sold all my c...

R2D2 restoration question.

I am thinking about putting my discoloured R2D2 legs through the hydrogen peroxide treatment. However, I wanted to ask others first if they have done this and if there is any effect on the blue stripes. I don’t want to fade the blue, which is actually quite ok for a Solid Dome figure. Thanks in adva...

Archive Please WTB - Loose Fett

Went to eBay & got one for £20.

Hi All

I am after a loose Fett. I don’t mind HK or Taiwan COO and I don’t need a blaster. I am looking for as little paint rub as possible please.

Anyone with a spare please contact me

Thanks

Re: Whats your opinion of this ?

$140 dollars does seem a lot. Especially when Royal Mail will get their sticky fingers on the additional handing charge. Maybe getting a few people to all do a multi buy makes most economical sense. As for that prick on eBay with his Han Stormtroopers, I might have given him a pass without those rep...

Kenner Superpowers - off topic

Sorry guys if this should be in the off topic threads, happy to have it moved, but equally would like some advice rather than have the plea buried. I’d like to know if anyone has ever restored an old 84’ Kenner Superpowers figure. Anyone who knows the line will know that the Superpowers involved thi...

Re: Luke Storm Blaster HELP

For what it’s worth, advice wise, open a dispute on eBay and send it back. It’s adverting a 100% original black blaster and frankly it’s not. So why let the guy off ? Just open the dispute and that way there is no debate and the seller has to cover the return costs. It’s the correct way to send a me...

Re: Another repro seller on EBay !

I think reproduction stuff has really hurt the hobby and has increased a lot over the last few years, but this is another level of despicable.

Could be that I am lucky to get £2 a card on average or it could average out to £6 a card. I just won’t know until I try :-(

That’s the risk

Re: 180 Cardbacks - some rare

I’d sell as a job lot I think. One by one seems a lot of hassle.

Re: 180 Cardbacks - some rare

Thanks Carl You did well with judging them, although I think you were somewhat conservative on some pricing :-) For example £20 on a Fett Cardback or £5 on a Canadian Lando would disappoint me a lot, as would 5-10 pounds on a 12bk Han or Leia. But hey it’s all subjective and gives me an idea. So muc...
