Re: Repro - double telescoping sabers

Ironically, the listing exclaims *BEWARE OF IMITATORS* with regards to others copying his work!

Re: Your collecting spending in 2018

I track all my collection in Star Wars Tracker of course ;) I spent very little in 2018, being very similar to 2017. This is mainly because I've managed to get everything I planned to go after. My last real focused buying was about 10 MOCs split over late 2017 to early 2018. Just to get a bit of MOC...

Re: Vectis Sale 30th January

There's still quite a lot of U graded figures selling on eBay. Just this past week there were a whole bunch from Jeffs collectable empire business. Most weeks there are dozens listed from him marked as "just graded". I sure hope that's just part of his listing template and AFA is not doing...

R2 for me, again such a classic figure from the whole range.

This Darth Vader figure is just so iconic - tough group but he gets my vote for that reason alone.

Maybe *skin-wrapping* all MOC will be common place in the future :)

Re: Vectis Sale 30th January

All looks good. And considering some of the very cheap prices that hammered a week or so ago, I'll be setting a reminder in my calendar this time!

Re: Newbie (re)collector question & 1st purchase

Hi, I've been reading up, joined this forum and subscribed to SW tracker app. I'd like to start collecting loose figures again with weapons in decent condition I think for starters. Welcome! You have some fun times ahead of you - lots to learn and (re)discover! Great to hear you discovered Star Wars...

Re: Auction House Sales - Beware!

That’s right, stick 20% on top of the hammer price. Hurts doesn’t it. The final poke in the eye is the 20% is a service, and not counted as part of the sale, so add vat to it as well. Yes, it's hard to get a "bargain" at vectis - you have to be very lucky. When I add Vectis sales to Star ...

Re: Harbert moc valutation please

Here's a bit more data from Star Wars Tracker going back to 2012 - I'm including graded MOC here just to boost the hits a little.

I guess the main take home is that Harbert MOC very rarely come to open market

Re: Vectis 25th September

I usually research all the lots I'm interested in before hand to have a good idea of current market value and then take approx 24% off that price to give me a rough top bid. That's exactly how I go about working out a top bid. Your hammer price needs to be substantially lower than market value to c...

Re: More AFA Preferential Grading

Is a given grade in reference to other *like items*? In this case, if there a precious few other graded examples of a glasslite ATL maybe this is the best they have ever seen, hence giving an 80. I'm sure this is not the case, just being imaginative for how an 80 could be assigned to this.
