Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 57 LAUNCHED

Many thanks for having me on this month as main interview guest. I really appreciated the opportunity to talk a bit more in depth about Star Wars Tracker and what goes on behind the scenes, and why I do things the way I do. If anyone ever has any comments or questions I'm always keen to hear them. G...

Re: Bossk ESB 31a back Kenner

I'm a little surprised that this variation commands such a premium well beyond others. I admit it's a little bit dangerous to extrapolate relative scarcity of MOC variations from completed sales in Star Wars Tracker (eg, there might be hundreds of 79A examples on eBay right now, but they aren't pric...

Re: Vintage loose valuation

Trying to work out if it is worth grading a set or not... (i.e. would the cost To grade be retained once all are graded).....? I think you need to be really sure of the condition of your figures (ie, really good condition) to go ahead with grading and expect the value to be retained. Here's a bit o...

Re: MOC - Need Valuations

Things had changed a lot since I last bought and sold. Also there seems to be so few MOC's on ebay these days, it's hard to find a like for like comparison. Hi, for some unbiased and impartial help for valuing your items - you may like to give Star Wars Tracker a try - http://www.starwarstracker.co...

Re: Things I cant seem to find a value on

10. Cloud car pilot on 48a Just in case you haven't tried, you can widen the date range on Star Wars Tracker to see if that helps. For example, if I open up the search to the last 5 years then you get 8 prices for the CCP on 48a. Including *graded* in the search can also be helpful to get some insi...

Yoda for me. I was always impressed at how small the figure is, but how detailed and how many accessories. Good things come in small packages.

Very tough round. I have to go Tuskin as I once swapped a Luke Stormy for him in the playground cause I liked him so much!

Re: Items you now regret selling?

My regrets are a really long time ago back in the year 5 playground. Sold a handful of my shop bought figures for extra pocket money. The upshot is that I sold them to one of my best mates who I'm still in contact with - we both became big vintage collectors in the early 90s like most of us. He stil...

Ironically, the listing exclaims *BEWARE OF IMITATORS* with regards to others copying his work!

Re: Your collecting spending in 2018

I track all my collection in Star Wars Tracker of course ;) I spent very little in 2018, being very similar to 2017. This is mainly because I've managed to get everything I planned to go after. My last real focused buying was about 10 MOCs split over late 2017 to early 2018. Just to get a bit of MOC...

Re: Vectis Sale 30th January

There's still quite a lot of U graded figures selling on eBay. Just this past week there were a whole bunch from Jeffs collectable empire business. Most weeks there are dozens listed from him marked as "just graded". I sure hope that's just part of his listing template and AFA is not doing...

This Darth Vader figure is just so iconic - tough group but he gets my vote for that reason alone.

Maybe *skin-wrapping* all MOC will be common place in the future :)
