Re: Latest Acquisitions

Haha just thought this needed a mention, iv'e just been looking back at the very first acquisitions in this thread in 2006 and spotted this one, I can't believe those 5 graded MOC's were £500. I know, it's ridiculous how much things have changed! Back then I would pick up most MOCs for unde...

Re: The day is coming....repro MOC

It would be interesting to see a comparison of the print under a microscope. Although the new repro cards might look good at first glance, you cannot replicate the effect of litho printing with a digital print. I'm sure under close inspection it will be possible to tell the difference. That would p...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

So I thought I'd share my last few purchases as won't be putting anything up for a while. The first is the ESB Power Droid 31bk which was literally the last purchase. Sticker/paper residue removed and flattened (thanks Edd). Crystal clear bubble in near mint shape. Really chuffed with it. ESB Power...

Re: Customs Charges

Iv'e just paid £20.50 for a MOC that cost me £77 because the seller decided at the last minute not to send it as a gift like they said they would, because and I quote "I found out it's illegal to send it as a gift"...... :| gotta watch out for that SWAT team smashing into your house becau...

Re: Customs Charges

A MOC I just got from the US arrived with a £15.50 customs charge. The seller had put the value at $30 (it was worth several times more). So the customs charge was almost as much as the item was declared for. Piss-take.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Well done on that Fett Edd. Stands out a mile from what we’re used to seeing from Toni. That bubble is totally different. Congrats on the trilogo Luke Stormy and Pali Hoth Han. 2 high up on my wants. After nothing for around a year I had a little run of buys when the right MOCs came up. These 2 arri...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

My first LA in about a year, and it’s one I’ve wanted for years. I’ve got 2 more MOCs on their way from the US, so a bit of a mini spending spree as things I’ve actually wanted and for the right price have come up recently. The card insert was out of place, but literally 20 seconds with a long shar...

Re: Ackbar Trilogo Hybrid

Do you mean the Palitoy released ROTJ front with Tri logo back, one of the hybrid Mocs. Stand down folks lol. Panic over. Spoke to seller, turns out he had made a mistake. It’s a Tsukedo (Not sure of the spelling) Japanese cardback. Nearly had a heart attack thinking I’d stumbled upon a crazy rare ...
