Re: The day is coming....repro MOC

That’s nothing, I saw a graded Toy Toni DSD for sale the other day for £269 :o  I don’t have any in my collection, but I would have one if it was £50 just as a piece of Star Wars history, especially if it had been graded too! But to pay over £100 seems crazy! I bought a UKG 90 graded C...

So is mine, tried to rattle it out and gave up.

Also, is a rough texture.

Re: The day is coming....repro MOC

With modern manufacturing I'm surprised it's taken so long to deconstruct and copy a carded figure and make it almost indistinguishable to the real thing.

Re: General Grumbling

The Toy Toni thing makes me laugh as well, origional parts all assembled together and the grading company’s should have known this before any of the collecting experts did. Your just sending your stuff to other human’s who make mistakes, not a supreme being. How they missed the v iron marks at the ...

Re: unknown guest and tradesman

I had a lad come round to fit a digital electric meter last year and he started taking photos of my collection on his phone. Told me he wanted to show his mate. He seemed a decent lad himself but you never know who's hands the info and photos end up in. What a cheeky prick, i'd have told him to get...

Re: Rarest ROTJ MOC’s

Snowtrooper gets quite a bit of discussion in the offer less 65 back thread. I think some are confusing the more common palitoy with less common Kenner. I found the first and second documented examples bizarrely, though no doubt it's cos no one else was looking. I sold my first for about $300 back i...

Ps oddities like 65 back Kenner Snowtrooper are vhtf. I actually found the first documented example back in early 2000's  my claim to star wars fame

Re: Rarest ROTJ MOC’s

These days, figures like Weequay, Teebo, Klaatu Skiff and Leia Biushh are getting rare with clear bubbles. Depends on the condition you are after. When it comes to sheer numbers, Leia Organa is way out there on her own. I guess it just wasn't on top of most kids wants lists by 1983 so very short pac...

Re: Cardback lifting?

I used to work in a cardboard factory many years ago (not fun) and yes its delamination caused by cardboard getting damp then drying with a wave in the card. The dampening/damaging of the glue along with the pressure of the subsequent wave forces the two (or three) layers in the card to separate.

Re: Is Kenner worth more than Palitoy?

In most cases palitoy worth more, especially logod stuff. However, crystal clear bubble Kenner Jedi cards definitely fetch a big premium these days over many palitoy Jedi cards.

Re: General Grumbling

There are some people who like grading and some who hate it. what i hate is everytime theres some sort of grading discussion, you will always get those people who cant resist calling someone a moron for having graded items and try to bellittle them, yet u never hear a pro grade person call a grade ...
