Re: Best packaging ever?

Yep agree with that. Advertising the contents are very valuable star wars items will likely attract unwanted attention. Of course they aren't all valuable, but to regular joebpost worker it's the way they are perceived. Best leave it inconspicuous.

Re: Carded Power Droid 21b Disaster

I've had acrylic cases lift seals before but only on warped cards where the flex has gone through the bubble when the card was straightened (foolishly). If it slid in a few days ago with no trouble I can think of no environmental factors that would cause this damage in such a short space of time.

Regardless of then being proofs or samples or just unused cards, the price of these was an amazing steal. Especially that Fett.

Re: Help needed identifying this.....

Unlikely to be a mould, and an odd colour for a production Vader item. Not sure but looks like a display piece of some description, again odd colour though.

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

Interesting thing with TT's is I bet even disclosed there are probably not many worth less now than the price paid bitd even in the belief they were real. I bought several in the 90's, and the prices even disclosed seem to be readjusting to an extent that even if you purchased them in good faith fro...

Re: Should grading companies archive/case reproductions?

There will be some (as there were on FB) that genuinely believe marking these as repro will seriously protect buyers in future. Like repros are a limited resource and this action 'takes one off the streets'. The fact another 10 unmarked repro will replace these graded ones would be laughable if not ...

Re: Palitoy landfill

I think any 2d paper/card items should be ok, also any plastic toys won't degrade in 30 years. Boxed/ carded items will just be heavily warped, crushed, misshapen etc.

Re: Should grading companies archive/case reproductions?

I've noticed a few normally loud mouthed collectors who support CAS and those involved are conspicuous by their silence today, save for a few wise cracks early doors.
