Re: Is it still worth buying beaters for a £1 each?

Fatties without any accessories like dengar, Bib, chirpa and logray, rancor keeper etc are effectively write offs as the postage costs more than they are worth. That's if selling online. Any beater bought in person for a pound (no postage to worry about) is ok I suppose. I just don't bother with any...

Re: Modern MOC 'investing'

It was purchased in error I believe by some one who was thinking it was the dagobah Luke that was rare when it was actually the original like with SS/LT. The only modern I have left is the original nine on trilogo cards and a mail away Han stormtrooper and Ben ghost. Along with a 1995 header it make...

Re: Modern MOC 'investing'

I came out of modern collecting massively up due to selling a POFT2 Luke dagobah SS/LT for £180 after it had cost me £1. #winning.

Re: Is it still worth buying beaters for a £1 each?

Think it depends on the circumstances. If I saw beaters on eBay for £1 with free post id probably leave them but if in a charity shop or jumble sale I'd snap them up and be really pleased with myself.

Then I'd give them to my kids to play with.

Re: MOC Autographed or noit?

Definitely a no. I don't even really associate the actors with the figures. Especially pointless with non human characters where you can't even see their faces. Could literally be anyone in that Klaatu outfit

Re: Quickdraw Han and articulated Greedo

These are real I've seen them years ago. Think they are in Gus's collection possibly. Came from a Kenner source, think they were just ideas that one of the engineers was kicking around and decided to try it out. All hand carved in a lunch hour most probably hence the roughness.

Re: Very first vintage figures ever produced

Have you read up on the SWCA about the early concept designs and remaining few bits of wax sculpts/hardcopies of the original 12? That would be a good bet. Nope I literally know nothing about that, would any of that info have anything about a fully produced plastic figure though? First proper plast...
