Re: The vagaries of graded figs

Don't agree with grading for the most part, but on the other hand it's helped me get a very cheap Boba Fett MOC because it was graded a 50 for some silly reason, in my eyes looks more like a 70 with a good bubble, if I wanted I could crack that thing open right now and double my money selling it. T...

Re: Graflex 2.0 or 2.5

This year I fancy putting my own Saber together and would like some advice if possible please? I know Lee posted last year or maybe 2016 about the graflex 2.0 kits but I’m not sure if anything came of it. Anyway, there now looks to be a 2.5 kit on the market for around the same 200 USD price point,...

Re: 1940's heiland synchronar 3 cell flash

This appears to be very similar in design to the Microflash which was used as the basis for Darth Vader's lightsabre. I do not know the ins and outs of which parts the Microflash and the Heiland shared but the similarities are there for anyone to see. There are, however, differences, too. I know the...

Re: Luke Gunner Tri logo

Nice spot, Dav. Never noticed it before. Surprising it made it past QC given the sort of things that were rejected (thinking of the TT carbacks). That said, by the time Trilogos came around I very much doubt they cared. When you can stick random figures on carbacks I doubt a missing but of text caus...

Re: Rate TLJ out of ten

He threw away his saber in TLJ? He also did it in ROTJ!! This I think is far more in line with the original teaches of ESB and a much more important mythological tale to teach children. He threw it in ROTJ because he was in a no-win position and knew it. He was making a point he would sooner die th...

Re: Rate TLJ out of ten

Shame that Star Wars 'fans' are going it such a hard time; I get it (kind of), but it is after all just a kids film, they all are... You have to remember that a lot of Star Wars fans will look beyond the essence of the film itself. I totally understand that young and old alike will like it, but the...

Re: Some things i learnt from trying to sell on gumtree

Yeah I've had people message me about eBay items with stupidly low offers. I had one guy offered me about 30% of the asking price and that was to include PP fees, and full insurance tracked to the States. When I politely declined he went bonkers. Called me all the names of the day. It was actually ...

Re: Din I get conned selling

Yep defo £900 - £1000 without any weapons, split up and sold in 2 or 3 smaller lots. Nobody got conned here though in the literal sense, if that's the case then everyone who goes to a cash converters or other pawn shop to sell something could say they got conned. A seller goes to somebody to sell s...

Re: Din I get conned selling

You could have doubled the price and he would still have got a great deal, depending on the weapons. Looks like you had Yak Face Lando General x 2 Han Carbonite Imperial Dignitary A-Wing Pilot Barada Anakin Romba And no doubt a few more that I'm just not seeing in the photo. Why ask now, though? And...
