Re: Tri logo Lando miscard, metallic pbp blaster??

Shit, real shame about the bubble, mate :( That's a cracking piece. Been looking out for one every time a Lando appears on TL. Missed that one. I think you've done great even with the damage. The same is the damage is enough to remove the blaster. As has been said, you'll make all the money and then...

Re: Profiles in History Ebay auction

Some utterly mind blowing pieces. Bill Hudson's armour and weapon from Aliens, blueprints for X-Wing, Y-Wing and Falcon, original Tom Jung drawings for SW and ESB posters, so much! I want a go at The Goonies cutlass :D Were you the winner! $9000 was the winning bid + 28% commission.... Ha! After wa...

Re: Neville Chadwick Photography

Ouch. £25 for a pair of prints is too much, I think. OK, so what can you get for £25 these days? A weaponless Jawa. But these are just prints like you say, Steve. And Kim's stuff is somewhat more iconic, I'd say, so justifies a higher price tag, although they're still more than I'm willing to go to....

Re: Neville Chadwick Photography

Those are brilliant. Given how little has survived of Palitoy's archives this is, relatively speaking, gold.

Are they listed ATM, Andy? I hope they're not going to charge the earth for them. I wouldn't mind a set of large prints of whatever they produce.

Thanks for sharing that.

Imperial Gunner: AT-ST Driver's twin

This is undoubtedly old news to some but was new to me so I can't be the only one. On the Imperial Commissary Facebook group a member posted up the below photos asking what the deal was with her new Imperial Gunner (left of the two figures). There were clearly some sculpt detail differences although...

It's not so much as a good idea as it's your goddam duty!

That's very cool indeed :)

What a load of junk.

Just reported that item. Fifty quid says it goes nowhere.

Re: Import Tax

Hi, Just had a quick look but couldn't find the info. Just won an item from Canada. What do I need them to quote on the custom form so I don't have to pay 20% import tax? Cheers Just searched "tax code" here and one of Rich's old posts came up: Gift and less than £20 to avoid fees. There ...

Re: Best or craziest Star Wars find at a carboot or charity shop

The climbing into carboots is nothing new, IMO. I remember going to carboots in Chester in the early 90s and people were being forceably removed from the boots by the sellers then! I remember one guy having a stand up with a particular buyer who he refused to sell him something the buyer had removed...

Re: What annoys you the most in this hobby?

Closely echoing ODB's point: the assumption that because you've knowingly overpaid for something makes you a "high end" collector. No, it makes you an idiot. An example would be the $1,500 Vader on Palitoy 65 back currently being peddled by a well know Facebook character. Some dick will pr...

Re: Vintage SW is still affordable - £50 or less MOCs latest acquisitions

Dammit boys, that humbled my B-Wing Pilot! That 8D8 is incredible for £40. Looks like Meccano card looking at the hole punch, too. Might be perspective making it look that way though. Nice one! And I think R2, Vader and Obi-Wan are all allowed in on the grounds they're daft bargains :) want to see p...

Come on Lindo, get your arse down, Rich is pretty much Scottish and makes it :) Do it once and the distance won't figure the next time you consider coming. Great event.

Re: Vintage SW is still affordable - £50 or less MOCs latest acquisitions

It's been a while since anything was posted here. Are sub £50 MOCs getting tougher to find? It wasn't too long ago this was a £20 MOC but as with all things has crept up. This chap was from Vectis (you can still get good deals) and was 48p inside the £50 limit. For some reason it went £20 cheaper th...
