Re: Are Car Boots still an option?

Yep, picked up a reasonable amount at car boots. Best find has been an R5-D4 baggie but that was about 2 years ago now. More recently I've picked up an Amanaman, X-Wing (Complete) and Jabba (near complete) for £60, so was happy with that. I also got a really nice AT-AT not long back for £20. Missing...

Re: New unopened - my arse!!!

This guy has been listing resealed figures for close to sealed prices for a while now. I've stopped looking at his sales as soon as I see it's him. Like that samsufi2000 joker in France he occasional describes resealed as sealed.

Re: Lando General Carded

Keep him, it’s a great condition Tri Logo that is quite difficult to get hold of, as Scruffy has alreay said. You will kick yourself if you sell it (unless it was to me of course)   Nooooo, he'll kick himself if he doesn't sell to me :D As for rising values, that's always a tough o...

Re: Who's Who - Introduce yourself!

Welcome all recent joiners. Good to see so many new members in a month. This is certainly a great place for completing your collection through trades or sales. What it really does well at, though, is specialist knowledge. It's always great seeing collectors bringing their collections out of lofts an...

Re: Lando General Carded

Nice MOC. Think you'll find a queue here waiting for him to come up when you decide to part with it. I too would be interested. That doesn't look resealed to me. Are you talking about the marks between the left hand edge of the card and the bubble? Looks more like damage done when applying the bubbl...

Re: Vintage toys on Antiques Roadshow in 1999

Dave Tree has a copy somewhere, on VHS, and is threatening to get it aired at the next Farthest From if he can find it! I'd love to see it as I also appeared on it talking (through my hat) about a grey limbed Snowtrooper  Would love to see it again. I had hair back in the day. PM to Dave Tree ...

Re: SWFUK Xmas Raffle Extravaganza In Support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity

Smashing idea and some wonderfully generous prizes added so far.

I need to have a good rummage but rest assured I'll find something to throw in the pot. Will post something up as and when I get a chance but may not be this week at this rate.

Re: New Trilogy & Live Action TV Show Announced!

We'll see ;) I'm not getting excited until they release further details. The cynic in me (I know, who'd believe there was one) thinks this is designed to bolster shareholder confidence on the back of weak results overall. My main question is: when is this new Trilogy set? Either they try again to re...

Wicked pick ups, Iain. Shame about the bubble but the EB DT kit is a hell of a consolation prize!

Re: Leia Organa ROTJ MOC

That's a beautiful card. They were going for £250 5 years ago. If they have gone up £700 in 5 years, then everyone has lost their minds. :? Amazing looking piece, get rid of the grade though- it detracts from what it is. Agree, for a 75 grade you best break the hammer out. You'll get more without t...

Re: Toy Toni Boba Fett....

One just sold on eBay for over £450, more than I think it's worth IMO but not silly money Screen Shot 2017-11-06 at 19.24.32.png Is it really not silly money? £460 for what is essentially a Boba Fett and a very nice backing card. I know it's not quite that and I pay money for TTs but to me this is ...

Re: Do you post after having a drink?

No! Bought a car once when pissed. Decided at around 3PM after much soul searching that I could only just about afford it and certainly couldn't justify it; by 10PM and best part of 10 pints later I'd said I'd have it. Didn't find out until the next day after the guy rang me and I checked my texts!...

Re: Palitoy Factory green plaque

It's great news. And whilst the recognition is deserved it needs to go further. There's no way it'll happen in this day and age but a good proportion of the site and building should be listed. Whilst house building on every last square inch is en trend it can't happen, but we neglect our industrial ...
