Re: Thrawn hunting

Bagged a Vader and the dude in white for £1.99 each :) Was so pleased. The only two of those they had. ...

Re: Is it still worth buying beaters for a £1 each?

I took a box of 50 better than beaters to FF in December. They sat there for about 3 hours without a sale. I even gave a couple of kids some. Finally someone wanders up and buy the lot and looks nervous and hesitant about it as if I'm about to tell him they're actually £10 each not £1. On reflection...

And look at those sales. Like flies around shit. He's even sold a bulk load of 100 to some smear.

Just sent him a friendly message asking why he isn't still banged up.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Some other recent pick ups. I'm not sure if the mirror qualifies as 'gimcrack', but I bloody love it! It reeks of the 70's/80's. :D DSCF9278.jpg And a promo card from Debenhams, circa 83. DSCF9279.jpg DSCF9280.jpg Chris Chris, wonderful stuff! Huuuuuuge fan of the 8mm movies and of the crazy bootle...

Also glad to have finally got a 41 back I have been after for sometime; 83D3975E-96F2-479C-AB26-998CB0C2D183.jpeg :D This has to be right up there as my favourite Palitoy cardback, I think. Right next to his soulmate on the same cardback. Been after a 41 R2 for a couple of years now but they don't ...

Re: Palitoy 65c Emperor's Royal Guard MOC

Whist I wouldn't call them rare they come up relatively infrequently and are very, very popular. I paid, what I considered, a market busting £150 for an absolutely mint one with a really nice (yep, they do exist) price sticker on it about 9 or 10 months ago. Given the litho damage (yes, almost cert...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Here's a meagre offering from me in the shape of a tiny piece of blue sticky paper! I've got an ongoing run of cardbacks which has been improved upon since I started collecting. Among it's 'rules' are to have at least one of every type of card sold in the UK. I've been after one of these forever. T...

Re: When was the last time you saw a carded figure out in the wild?

1988 in Blackpool. I bought three from a guy selling them from a pop-up pasting table on the promenade. Han Carbonite Luke Poncho R2D2 Sensorscope I think was the other one. That's really interesting. '94-'98 I was at University in Liverpool. It was the last time I really collected with a passion. ...
