Re: Vehicle parts giveaway

Looks like you've got a Transformers rocket amongst the Action Force stuff and the mortar and flame thrower from A-Team.
The silver weapons are from some Britain's figures.

Very generous of you.

Re: Price sticker removal.....growing in popularity??

I like to see stickers on a card. However, it can put me off buying a card/MOC if the sticker covers the face of the photo.
Saying that, I'd never remove it and agree it adds history.

Re: So what did you think about Solo: A Star Wars Story ??? SPOILERS

I thought it was enjoyable overall. They filled in all the necessary bits like meeting Chewbacca, Lando, winning the Falcon, etc. However, I felt like I didn't find out as much about the character as I would have liked. I didn't like Lando's femenist robot with the Captain Phasma voice. Interesting ...

Re: Why do most SW fans say ESB is the best film in the OT?

If pushed I would probably say ESB is my favourite, but that doesn't mean I think the other two (yes there are only three Star Wars films) are inferior. All three are masterpieces, and very different. ESB has the best sabre fight IMO - not the most technical, but that old saying "less is more....

Re: Vintage in Tokyo

Did I just read that comment "rent a glass case to sell things in their shop for a fee" ? What an interesting and really cool idea, iv'e never heard of a shop doing that before. This quite common in antique shops in this country, often in the large ones. Can't believe iv'e never heard of ...

Are those modern QR code shop stickers on all the MOC's?

They are I'm afraid.
I have bought there before and the stickers do come off easily, but nonetheless would prefer them not to put the stickers on at all.

The last lot of photos are taken from there.

The first lot from a shopping centre called Nakano Broadway.
The second from shops in Akihabara and Ueno.

The shops are Robot Robot, Toy Yamashiroya, and Mandrake is the first.

Re: Vintage in Tokyo

These ones below I took a couple of years ago.
Its from Star Case.
It's a shop dedicated to only Star Wars.
Sellers can hire a glass case to sell their stuff for a fee.

Vintage in Tokyo

Found some vintage MOC in Tokyo.
It was great to see the Takara and Tsukuda together.
Prices were surprisingly good - Nien being 7000 yen or £50 in real money.

Re: Toys R Us - Goodbye

Popped into my local one earlier.... a truly sad sight. Store has literally been cut in half... all remaining stock moved to the front and barriers put up from there to the back. I remember when Woolworths was like that. I'd go in every few days and the shop would be getting smaller and smaller, sh...

Re: Help / Advice needed from the pros!

Firstly, sorry to hear of your loss. I agree with edd's post. Personally, I wouldn't get into Star Wars as a means of profit or investment. Not even as a hand-me-down. If your grandson isn't sentimental, a card d figure might be just a bit of card and plastic, which it is, but not to a collector. Yo...
