Re: Wanted: Baggies

Hi there,

I have a Paploo heat sealed baggie with a peculiar LL stamp on it. Have you seen such a thing before?

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

Really appreciate all your kind comments. As someone who's just dug my collection out after 15 or so years the couple of questions I've raised on here have been so positevly dealt with. It's fired a whole new interest. Thank you.
Gary.

Re: Your most rare figure

I guess mine is Paploo in a Mexico baggie with what appears to be a Lili Ledy mark on it. Was a reason for coming on to this forum in the first place when I dug out my collection, still not really found out about it's origins, or found another example.

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

Well you were preaching to the converted at the time Rob. I'm happy it seems to be legit but in a way wish it was the straight leg version, that one looks much more 'early bird' and in place in my display.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Thanks for this Aussiejames, the carded and baggie pictures look identical to mine in terms of chest size and stance.

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

Does the the peg hole on the coo foot have a split line through it. (As though moulded from two parts)? If so it could prove that it is a fixed limb / removable limb mould variant removing doubt of any possible tampering. The split line appears to be far more obvious on the removable limb mould var...

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

Thats a great link thanks - the COO matches picture number 2 where there is a full stop after the 1977. Don't know what that tells me though.

The gaps at the hips and arms sockets are not right for a fixed limb.

OK, obviously another picture in response to that :)

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

Another (slightly comical) photo - but really hammers home that the new one on the left (supposedly FL) had more in common with the RL limbs one on the far right as opposed to the true FL one in the middle. I should also add that it's limb movement is quite poor - very sticky / jolty. If someone can...

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

I paid £49.99 inc PP for this and a good condition 1977 R2D2, and am due to leave the eBay seller some feedback. The seller is http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/1kpp?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2754 Whilst they have a number of other SW items for sale this is a pretty specific query and so I don't immediately p...

Here's his back... There's something very fishy about it - Why would anyone bother is my first thought?

Re: Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

It's the stance, as well as the chest size.
It's very much the removable limbs figure shape. And not the original one.
Did the build process change between 77 and 85?

Have I Been Done? See Threepio (Non Removable Limbs)

Hi there, I've just had a See Threepio non-removable limbs delivered from eBay. But on inspection it seems to be the same shape, sculpt and stance as the removable limbs one - of course however the limbs are secure? It has a 1977 leg stamp and also a metal pin in the back, but see the picture attach...

Re: Paploo Baggie with 'LL' stamp

Just a quick update to thank you all for your kind words and help. Whilst I've learnt a lot more about it still nothing is concrete. I've had an awful lot of interest from Mexican Lili Ledy collectors and a few offers but I'm probably going to hold on to it for now in the hope that some more detail ...

Re: Paploo Baggie with 'LL' stamp

I really want to complete the loose collection for the display and so am not adverse to letting it go if it'll help make a dent in the last 8. It's great doing all this research work though.

I'll see what comes from the Mexican FB group.
