Re: Miscards

I'm not normally that fussed about miscards, but that Snaggletooth on a Yoda card is very nice! :-)

Re: Weapons in bubbles?

Not all weapons were taped or loose. Chewbacca, Death Squad Commander, Stormtrooper, Greedo, Hammerhead, Walrus Man and Luke X-Wing all came holding their weapons on at least their first release cards: http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=15343

I also hope Frank comes back to the Forum. He is an incredibly knowledgeable and respected Forum member and it will be a huge loss if he doesn't return :-(.

Re: Vintage toys on Antiques Roadshow in 1999

I believe vintage Star Wars toys featured on The Antiques Roadshow more than once in the 90's, and I'm pretty sure the link above is not to the episode I remember and was talking about in my post on the previous page (although it's still enjoyable to see this one, so thank you for posting the link)....

Re: Too good to be true?

I think this thread should probably be posted here: viewforum.php?f=5

However, this is not a vintage Y-Wing, but rather the modern line TRU exclusive TAC Y-Wing: http://www.rebelscum.com/TACywingfighter.asp

Re: Moseisley Collectibles

Hi, I have bought a fair few loose weapons and accessories from both moseisley_collectibles and vintagestarwarsuk over the past 2 years. Their stuff is genuine, although with any weapon purchase from any seller, I would always recommend doing the float and drop tests yourself as well as comparing yo...

Re: What’s your favourite First 12 figure loose and is it different to your favourite First 12 MOC?

Favourite loose would be small head Han (but definitely not old balloon head Han!). It was a favourite of mine when I was a kid, made all the more special because it took me ages to get one. However, close behind Han would be Luke, and he is my favourite carded figure from the first 12; an iconic im...

Re: Valuation needed on ESB carded figures 2

More beautiful cards, but again, I would be interested in the Palitoy Ugnaught, so I'd better not offer my thoughts on the value.

Some very nice cards you have there. I'd better not offer my opinion on the value as I would be interested in the IG-88 if you decide to sell it.

Re: POTF Yak Face

I too was surprised at the price that sold for and how quickly it was snapped up. I can understand that PBP and the like will be expensive, but please don’t take this wrong, this was a POTF card. Are all POTF cards that desirable or do I assume that only the rare ones, Yak, Luke, Han and Anakin etc...

A fake collector? I suppose they might exist, but I've never heard of one.

Changing the subject completely, I thought perhaps you might like to see a photo of me in front of some new shelves I've just bought:

Re: Does Trade Bait Work?

This statement is going to be so obvious, it shouldn't really need making, but just in case anyone hasn't thought of it yet (and with sincere apologies to those who will quite rightly view this as teaching granny to suck eggs), trading any item for another, whether those items are common, uncommon, ...

Re: Do collectors sell to the highest bidder or accept a lower offer from a friend?

I'm sure it varies from collector to collector, from item to item, and from offer to offer. I have sold items to a fellow collector friend before now for less than I might have made elsewhere, but neither did I give them away. 'Mate's rates' are not unusual, I'm sure, but normally if I have somethin...
