Re: Your thoughts on George Lucas

The Last Jedi actually does use some of George Lucas' sequel trilogy ideas. Lucas' idea for the sequel was for an ageing Luke to reluctantly train a young girl to be a Jedi (named Kira not Rey). Luke had spent 30 years hidden away in solitude in his Jedi temple. Doug Chiang had created the concept ...

Re: Your thoughts on George Lucas

An incredibly gifted and imaginative man, who caught lightning in a bottle with the original Star Wars, thanks to his own gifts and those of a fantastically talented team of people around him, who largely remained with him for Empire, and it shows. He's a brilliant filmmaker, but by all accounts not...

It's Luke for me. Tough choice again, but I prefer Luke's sculpt over Vader's.

Re: FORUM FIGURE 2018 - ROUND 2 - MATCH 13

Tough call as they're both good figures, but the first 12-ness of Leia edges it for me.

Definitely this is a reseal. £4,999?! 'The world's Best Shop'? 'The World's Best Profit Margins' more like!

Avoid this like the plague, would be my advice. Definitely a cut-down Kenobi cape, I'm afraid :-(

Re: Waffle pattern 100% guarantee

Looks like it's all good for you from what the guys say, good luck with the bidding. It was the camera pictures and the back at the top looked like a card similar to mine that put me off. But then again I'm not an expert on these and unfortunately my card now seems it looks like a fake. I bought it...

Another great pair of figures. Each would make a worthy winner, but I'm going for the AT-AT driver.

Re: FORUM FIGURE 2018 - ROUND 2 - MATCH 11

Agreed, a tough choice alright. Luke's a terrific figure with great accessories, but the Jawa is one of the first 12, has a cool cloth cape and blaster, so that edges it for me.

Re: Waffle pattern 100% guarantee

I think the pics have just been taken with a less than stellar camera. However, the card is shiny on the front, matte-finished on the reverse, has the correct downwards bend on its edges from front to back where it has been punched from the cardboard sheet, it has a very sensible (i.e. period) punch...
