Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 41, 2018, Part 2/2

Sorry Lars. As you know, I don't collect Ewoks figures, but hopefully someone reading this can come to the rescue and share a picture of His Majesty with the rest of us

Re: Star Wars to Action Force

Do you remember copying “pokes” from mags into spectrum game codes to get extra lives etc? What was the Spectrum mag called? I do! There were some brilliant POKES available for 'Jet Set Willy' on the Spectrum :-D My brother and I also once wasted an entire day painstakingly programming in the 'miss...

Re: I didnt know this...

Very interesting, thank you for posting this. I wasn't aware of this either, and it's always great to discover new things about these toys after all these years :-). Perhaps Kenner did this deliberately, but my guess is that it's probably just coincidence, but still a fun one to know. It reminds me ...

Nice loose collection Lars, along with cardback and coin.
This is one that I can contribute to, so here’s mine.

Very nice, Nick! Looks like you have a clearer bubble than mine :-)

When I finally got one, I was delighted to find he had a opening mouth mechanism, which worked really well! :D I was rather less impressed with his arms which broke off if you so much as thought about looking at them! :roll Jeremy, sorry to break it to ya, but he’s a she  Jay, sorry to break i...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 41, 2018, Part 1/2

The lanky torture droid today, Lars? OK then! EV-9D9 was one of those figures I had no idea Kenner even made back in the 80's. I'm afraid I'd stopped collecting the toys when Jedi came out as I thought I was too old for them when I reached the lofty age of eleven! I did still keep an eye on th...

Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

I was one of those weird kids who kept boxes and actually put his toys back in them. All my SW vehicles were sold with their boxes, and most of the other toys I have from my childhood are still boxed! I think it's because I used to love looking at toys in the shops and liked the idea of boxin...

Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

I was a kid. They were toys. I gave not one single moment's thought to the packaging, just like most children. The packets were opened, the toys removed and the packaging binned. I wanted the toys, not the boxes. And besides, my mother wouldn't have let me keep a load of 'useless' cardboard to clutt...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 7, 2018, Part 2/2

Just 'plugging a gap', so to speak. My apologies for not posting this sooner. I should have done so ages ago, but better late than never, hopefully! Here's my Kenner Death Star. The box isn't terrible, but could also be quite a bit better. I'm not complaining though as I'm just happy to have one :-...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 6, 2018, Part 1/2

Another gap being belatedly filled! Thanks to all the previous posters for sharing their playsets, and my apologies for the late posting of mine. I never owned an Imperial Attack Base as a child. I was always a 'Turret and Probot' boy myself, as those things were actually in the film, unlike the sim...
