Re: Warning new repro that is not in the tig guide

Almost as bad/sad is all the people buying them, look at all the positive feedback he has for them, part of the problem is that he sells them because people buy them and keep on buying them.

Re: Displaying your 12" figures

I have a 12 inch Han and Leia and they do stand unaided but you have to be a bit careful not to knock them, my Han came with the type of stand mentioned above which has a central support and waist support, like these, th.jpg I never used it and ended up giving it away to a friend for some of his non...

Re: Loose PBP Snowtrooper valuation please.

Would a PBP cape have the zipping sound like a Kenner one? I thought the Euro versions, PBP, POCH, Tri-Logo were smooth, if it is a childhood figure it can't be anything but genuine.

They've also been trying to sell that Chewbacca missing his weapon for £85.00 for what seems like years, every time I search for vintage Chewbacca it's there, unsurprisingly.

Re: Newbie (re)collector question & 1st purchase

Welcome to the forum, the Dengar figure was a nice pick up at £1.20, the rifle looks to be a V1 Imperial Hoth rifle, with grading C9 is pretty much mint condition complete with original weapon, C8 may have a few small paint rubs, and obviously the lower the number the poorer the condition of the fig...

Re: R2D2 pop up lightsaber figure

That's a cracking condition R2, grading a figure costs about £17.00 basic, although there are options that will increase the price, this link should help, http://ukgraders.co.uk/star-wars-vintage-1977-1985/1057-star-wars-vintage-standard-loose-3-3-4.html Remember to add on postage costs plus insuran...

Re: Advice/Help please from members in the USA

It sounds like the seller is using Ebay's Global Shipping Programme, where each item generates it's own separate postal cost and customs charge, which does't allow combined shipping. I recently wanted to bid on a couple of items from a seller in the US who was using this and I queried whether he cou...

Re: Jawa Hoods

That's a large hood, have a look as this link to see a side by side comparison of the hood sizes, small, medium and large. https://www.imperialgunnery.com/clothcapesskirts.htm I've never noticed one type of hood being more valuable/collectable than the other, in my experience they all sell for prett...

Star Wars Toys Recycled

Thought I'd post this up in case anybody hasn't seen it before, interesting piece on how Kenner adapted existing toys for the Star Wars range, and continued to use them for other ranges after the films had finished.

Re: What baffled you most about the toys as a kid?

It just wouldn't be Scalextric without 'that smell'! I remember that, hot braids on the car and overheated throttles, brilliant. Why did scalextric need so many expensive big fuck off batteries to run and to have them run out in no time at all. If I remember correctly my scalextric needed 8 of the ...

Re: where to start, after selling collection 15 years ago

Don't discount eBay completely, although there are a lot of vintage repop weapons and accessories listed on there it's probably still the best place to pick figures and vehicles up, ask the seller questions and if you are still unsure whether something is genuine or not move on. You can also post up...
