Re: Star Wars Scented Candles

When I read the title I thought they would be scented candles with Star Wars illustrations on them, no, they are actually the smells of Star Wars, Wookie, Bantha, Trash Compactor, etc. Bonkers. :)

Re: Another utter Arsehole

Surely even doing this, which is plainly wrong, doesn't make a Snowtrooper a true YPS figure, for a Snowtrooper to be classed as a YPS one it has to come with the comic and bag it was issued with, YPS being the name of the German kid's magazine it was given away free with. When I was looking at Snow...

That’s not the mag I used to have, it was only for Spectrum and in the later days had a “free” cassette of playable demons on the front cover, could have been called Crash? Yes, it was Crash magazine, I used to get it myself before the poor old rubber keyboard on my Spectrum had enough, then had a ...

Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

I never had any vehicles when I was young but the figures were ripped of the card as soon as I got them and the packaging thrown away, the thought of keeping it just didn't occur to me. With some of the Palitoy release first 12 figures, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper Han Solo, a good condition cardback can...

Re: Vintage 70's / 80's Argos catalogues

Used to love the toy pages in those old catalogues, Freemans, Littlewoods etc, they also had another attraction for boys of a certain age shall we say :D

Re: Were you a "one toy line" kid?

Other than Star Wars, Black Hole, VINCENT is still one of my favourite figures. Battlestar Galactica. Mego figures. Scalextric. Micronauts, the magnetic ones in black and white, robots and horses that fired missiles! Britains figures, WW2, Cowboys and Indians, Knights, Stargards and Aliens. Action M...

Re: The LEGO Corner

10kg? It’s closer to 22kg. It is a beast, but it is also a hard build. It is at the very limits of Lego’s mechanical properties imo. You can hear it cracking and feel it flexing when you pick it up plus it is virtually impossible to move without bits of it breaking. Wow, really is a display piece o...

Serious bit of kit here, collectors series Falcon, weighs in at 10kg!, looks a lot of fun albeit very expensive.

Re: Earliest Vintage SW Memories

Being bought a Darth Vader and Stormtrooper figure from Zodiac Toys in early 1978, when I was 7, I was also lucky enough to see Star Wars at the Odeon in Leicester Square shortly after it was released as a treat on a trip to London. I think we also went to Madame Tussauds and had a trip on a open to...
