Re: The future of Vintage Star Wars collecting

I think as long as Star Wars stays relevant there will always be an interest. They aren't making Dinky movies to keep interest alive. I do also think, however, that our generation will have a unique place in collecting, as we fell in love with it all first-time around. For new collectors, they don't...

Re: Original Blu-Rays

Please don't buy the despecialised editions. People have put years of effort into creating these fan edits and making them available to download for free, then scum come along and spend a couple of hours putting them onto blu-ray and knocking a couple of covers together and charge ridiculous amount...

Re: Price sticker dilemma

My grail vintage item, without a doubt, would be a Han Hoth Gear 30 back Palitoy MOC with a "Redgates" price sticker. This was the first figure I ever owned (and I still have him) and this would have been the card he came on. Redgates was my local shop in Sheffield and most have sold thous...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Did a trade to add this guy to my 12 back run. Really happy to add Chewie, one of my faves and only 12 back I have with the 32 back sticker :) Only 3PO, Han and Sandy to go to complete the run now... 47249487_1295774213930944_2697660673625686016_n.jpg 47260423_337538137064210_302924288200015872_n.jpg

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Couple of nice pick-ups recently - nothing too expensive, but pleased to add these :) Micro Collection X Wing. Never had these as a kid and always liked the look of the X-wing, so happy to get this boxed version: IMG_20181211_121040.jpg Also got this budget R5-D4 for my attempt at a First 21 run. Bi...

Re: End of 2018 Collecting Review, 2019 goals

I got some very nice pieces that I am happy with - mostly, boxed ESB Han Laser Pistol, Micro Collection X Wing and Luke 12 back. For 2019, specific goals: Any MOC or cardback with "Redgates" price sticker Han, Sand People and 3PO 12 backs to complete my run Luke ESB boxed Palitoy Laser/Bla...

Re: Loose figure collections

Bit different for me, as my loose collection is what I had from childhood. I have added a couple of figures since then - Yak, A-Wing, small head Han - as well as some blasters etc that got lost back in the day. But for me, they are the most important part of my collection. They are what started it a...

Luke Skywalker 20 back e MOC

Hey Guys I just recently added a 12 back Luke, so am thinking of potentially trading/selling the 20 back e I have. Any ideas on value for this? The card is in very good condition, other than sticker residue in the top left corner. The bubble is clear and intact, but has a few minor dents. Figure is ...

Re: What could Kenner have done better ?

They stunned R2 and then kidnapped him and 3PO, selling them to the highest bidder. Plus I can't abide them, disgusting creatures :D I call tusken raiders and jawas neutral  I agree - they were neither rebels or Imperials, like the Switzerland of the SW universe... In which case, it adds even ...

Re: What could Kenner have done better ?

Thinking about it and my tirade as to why Kenner did not release a Rebel Fleet Trooper, I may have thought of the reason. It is too perplexing as to why not, as it makes sense on many levels (recreating battles, troop building etc). But, when they were creating the first 12 figures, maybe they thoug...
