Re: Investor or Collector?

I don’t fit into any camp, as I’m a hoarder! This time round I have never sold a piece of SW on, I ensure that what I buy is what I want and that’s it, it’s in the collection! It maybe an OCD thing, but I can’t let them go. Or it maybe that I sold everything at auction and now regret it very ...

Re: Advice on display of 12 back

That’s a very hard question. It all comes down to your personal view on repairing card backs. I have seen some that have been done so well that they could be passed off as MOC’s, and some so poor that they have actually made the card back worse. Personally with this one as the bubble is missing whic...

Re: Investor or Collector?

Collector and investor. I collect, but I invest my time and patience in learning about and collecting the things I enjoy collecting, the payoff in that investment is, I learn more, I build a collection I know about, I enjoy my interaction with a community of likeminded enthusiasts, I will keep coll...

Re: Wonky Bubbles!!

It’s not a cheap price, but it’s getting better.
It all depends how much if a draw that clear bubble is.
I haven’t seen one like this for a while now.

Re: Argh!!!!! Double Stem bubbles in transit!

I would imagine they have to be specified and have seen them for a while now but on AFA so not sure about UKG. If they aren’t too intrusive then these have got to be a no brainer option. I would like to see one of these in hand to see what they look like, how noticeable they are etc. I have always ...

There’s one for auction on Jabba’s right now, it ends Sunday night, already at £132.
It is in slightly better condition though, but still a bargin for someone.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Awesome set but hope you do not mind me asking - but what is a double stem bubble? A double stem bubble has two stems rather than one at the base of the bubble to aid the card to stand up. Not seen them before but then again, didnt even know how varied the cardbacks are until i started here. Everyd...

Re: Argh!!!!! Double Stem bubbles in transit!

They are protectors for the bubbles within the AFA case to stop it from moving anywhere and to stop it detaching from the cardback... 006371.JPG I assume that these have to be specified when the card is graded, I’ve never seen these before on a graded MOC that hasn’t already got bubble damage. Is t...
