Re: The beginning of the end?

Some people are very Pessimistic about VSW collectibles (Bears) for these people VSW has reached it apex and Black Tuesday is looming. This should only be of any relevance to anyone if you are thinking of selling. Many active collectors would like prices to drop as it would enable them to buy more c...

These are just questions that people like me should feel comfortable to be able to ask, your answer seems very pro censorship!

Re: The beginning of the end?

A R2 D2 Prop sold at auction for 2.75 million dollars this year and people think VSW is on the way down. The VSW toy sales are just the tip of the iceberg there are some high net worth individuals ploughing serious money into high end Star Wars Collectibles can't see them doing that if they did not ...

Re: Fake SW collectors?

I guess if you were a new forum member that no one new and you claimed to have a lot of stuff from a childhood collection or you just inherited a large collection from your uncle or something and you didn't showcase, I guess that could work! If I was to go on the forum and say I had just purchased a...

Re: Are Private Sales good for the Marketplace or the Collecting Community?

Most collectors have seen a lot of price escalation in the loose market as the majority of the sales are in the public domain. Do you think the Private Sales keep the prices down as they do not allow a bidding frenzy especially on the really rare items? Does not knowing how much rare items sell for ...

Re: Does Trade Bait Work?

I have never done it intentionally I bought some 41/45A's with the intention of collecting them then changed my mind about collecting them and thought I would try to sell them as complete set but could not find any buyers so thought I would try to trade them. I often change my mind in collecting as ...

Re: Does Trade Bait Work?

I have heard many collectors use the term trade bait I believe the phrase refers to an action which involves buying an item specifically to trade are you saying this is unacceptable?

Re: Does Trade Bait Work?

I am happy to collect 41/45A as I find any MOC with a Palitoy logo on interesting but my priority is 30 Backs. So although collecting 41/45A's I will always be prepared to trade them for the right 30 Back. Surely this is not the same as stockpiling something. How do you know when the right time to s...

Re: AFA Poll For U Grading

Does anyone know if U grading has caused the extinction of any MOC. If it has I would have thought a story like that could gain some real traction against U grading like hunters causing the extinction of an endangered species!
