Does the 75 grade put you off or would you still go for it?

Re: 12 C VCJ with Harbert Sticker

Ten THOUSAND pounds.... a steal? I think we need to step back and take a look at ourselves here. It went for way more than a Kenner version would have (in the same condition) and is effectively a rather niche sticker variation. 10 Grand just can't be considered 'cheap' can it? Was anybody here bidd...

Re: 12 C VCJ with Harbert Sticker

I know this is a Kenner card with a Harbert sticker on it but if you had to classify it would you class it as Harbert or Kenner?

Re: Harbert Rarity Information

Anthony, What is it you'd like to achieve? If you just want a selection of cool stuff then go for the cards you've mentioned - but if you're a completest then you need to pick your battles. A set of the first 12 or 20 on Harberts is a near impossible task. Han is incredibly tough, with only a handf...

Are there any similar links to this that not only discuss availability but rarity also.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Meccano Rarity Information

If you're interested in Meccanos I would highly recommend getting Stephane Faucourt's Meccano to trilogo book. This details all the mecanno releases and has a handy reference for rarity. https://www.amazon.co.uk/MECCANO-TRILOGO-French-European-vintage/dp/2952704600 I have just started reading the b...

Re: Risks in Showcasing your Collection?

I got about 10 of the 70 back, the rest must have been sold although we only tracked down about 10 that had been. No he wasn't prosecuted, no evidence that he actually stole them despite the fact he had them in his possession. No idea why handling stolen goods wasn't enough for a prosecution. I was...

Re: Vintage Star Wars Droids Vlix Figure in 12in 300pcs Limited Edition Worldwide

I am surprised there has not been a request to borrow an original Vlix to help determine the accuracy of the new 12 inch figure, either a Glasslite or Kenner prototype whatever you can spare, it would naturally be in safe hands and would be returned as soon as possible!

Re: Risks in Showcasing your Collection?

Thefts are rare but they do happen. It happened to me 10 years ago. I thought my collection was safer at my parents house because they are almost always in, and I lived on my own in London at the time and was out of the house 12 hours a day, which seemed much more risky. What I didn't consider is t...
